I have been working on my abs for a month now. And I am slowly getting better at it. I noticed this morning that I can see changes in my ab area on the sides. But the middle part is still pudgey!

So am I being impatient or am I not working my abs right or hard enough?Confused

When it comes to exercise I feel like I am flying blind and doing what I can. Any advise or help would be wonderful!!

Being able to see you abs has nothing to do with how hard you work them. Shocking, I know, but it's true. To be able to see your abs you have to get your body fat percentage below a certain level. Usually below 10% for men and below 15% for women. These are guidelines and can vary from person to person (as some people naturally carry more body fat around their abdomens).

I understand that point. But I'm not sure that is answering what I am asking. I meant that in that area the fat is shrinking down on the sides more than in the middle. Is that normal to see? Instead of all around flatening. I trying to reduce the fat in that area more than see that so called 6 pack.

Did I clarify myself?

That is normal to see. The only way to reduce fat in a specific area is to reduce overall body fat...eventually you will lose fat from that area, but it may come off of other areas first.

I've lost 2 inches from my chest, 3 inches from my waist, and only 1 inch from my hips.

The result is that my hips look even bigger, even though they're smaller. Awesome!
I just have to keep at it and hope they eventually shrink.

Okay! Thank you. The inches are coming off all over. I just have to keep working at it!

Good luck to you as well!!
