Hi,
Any advice for me as I start my adventure into diet land tomorrow ? I know it's going to be a tough day as I love to eat my carbs. I'm going to go cold turkey off bread as that is a real weakness for me.

It's hard avoiding bread for the first week...after that, it's smooooooth sailing!!
My advice is TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME, be patient, be KIND to yourself, and make lots of friends on here!! The people on here are GREAT!
see ya!

Just prepare with all the legal foods. After 3-5 days it DOES get easier, I promise.
Love the food that loves you back.

Faster Metabolism?
Eat more fat. The fat will suppress your appetite and make it so that you can eat less. If you have enough fat in your diet, you will never feel hungry.

So frustrated!
8 pounds in a month is pretty great. That is 2 pounds per week. That is the far-end of the range of what you can leave and keep it off.

You should be able to add most of your foods by grams. If the only option is a teaspoon, there are 28 grams (dry) in a teaspoon.

portion control! ack!
No gimmicks. Just pre-portion your snacks ahead of time, and only grab one portion. For instance, i portion my nuts into 1oz plastic baggies. Also, if you are concerned about portion size in general, ...
