HEY there SUN-E-BEACHERS!!!!

Hope everyone is off to a great start this challenge.
I was thinking we can introduce ourselfs to our team here and repost our B.E.A.C.H.

I have seen some tallies up already, good numbers! KERI you took yours back?? Understandable. We all face daily challenges that can throw our day off but YOU are on the right track. Stay focused hopefully things have settled. Kim did we miss a birthday? You should still expect a loss, IT CAN HAPPEN!
Susie you are staying so strong!

I will post my stuff in a bit!!!
LETS GO TEAM!!! BAN YOUR EXCUSES TODAY... I have tons of them today!!! grrr....

Hello fellow Sun-E-Beachers!

I'm Kimberly from the New Orleans area, am about to be 32 in a couple of weeks and married to a wonderful guy, no kids. Cindy, it was Mother in law's b'day dinner last night, not mine!

My BEACH was to Not use excuses to not go exercise. Sound familiar? That seems to be what most of us struggle with!

Changed Habit: If I'm too busy, then work out in the morning and if I'm tired, I can skip a day, provided I go work out the next day.

My goal was 5 times a week. As of today, I'm going to change this a little. I want at least 30 mins per day, this will be easier to give myself points EACH DAY!

I hope for a loss Cindy but it appears I did alot of damage last weekend. Still need to lose 2.6 by this Fri just to get back to last Fri's weigh in. Lots and lots of water coming my way - in your words I'll be drowning myself for Fri's weigh in! As for next week, it's on!

Mon 7/21 - 5 points for 40 mins on treadmill and some crunches
Tue 7/22 - Ate correctly for my plan and didn't drink any alcohol while out celebrating a b'day.

Hey there gang, I am Cynthia or Cindy, I live in Arizona. I am married to a great guy and we have 2 kids- 5 and 15 months old. They are a handful right now. lol

silly of me... I thought of 2, now I have try super hard to get my 5s!!
Banned EXCUSE: I have 2...
It's getting too HOT even in the gym, plus its only getting HOTTER!
I want to do more YOGA at home, but the kids are getting in the way... my son wants to tackle me and my daughter always needs something!

Changed Habit:
Drink more water, and enjoy a sf fudgsicle afterward! Make sure kids are entertained, I wake up before them, OR make sure hubby has them for the entire time!

I have had a stressful week already. My sister unexpectedly showed up this weekend, and I think is staying all week. Now we have her kids and mine running all over the house! lol It really is nice. I have some other issues going on, I will journal about it when I find the time, but hopeful I can recharge and focus on me first. I can my breaks while I am at my desk at work. Can some of you relate?

should we start our tallies on sunday? idk!?
Mon 5..... I did yoga and went to the gym
tues 2.... I did a few stretches (yoga) but couldn't go to the gym.
wed... i am going to the gym now!!

Kim, I was wondering what MIL meant, duh! BUT you have one coming huh? cool well remind us! we can do a virtual cocktail or something, hey NO CALS!!

Yellow Sun-e-Beachers!

Great to meet you all! I'm Fraise, I live in France, where I have lived for 8 years. I work from home, so discipline has got to be my middle name most of the time or I lose steam. My profile tells a lot about where I am and where I want to be. I am happy to be a part of this great team, and hope to contribute my share of points tallied up and pounds lost during this challenge!

My Banned excuse: The veggie drawer is empty so I can't eat good filling and flavorful summer vegetables.

My New Habit: UP, OUT, and to the MARKET with my basket every single day of this challenge, for summer at its source!

Monday was a 5! I went to the Halle in my neighborhood and prepared some delicious vegetable dishes at home!

Yesterday was a 5! I got fresh cucumbers, peas, peppers and avocados from the market near the pool. Going to the pool is becoming one of my UP and OUT commitments as well, although I am not counting it as a changed habit yet.

Today was a 4! I was UP and OUT, and I went to the pool and did pass through the market, but I passed by on buying fresh vegetables because I had another errand to run! Confused We still had a pretty good dinner!

Big hugs to my team members!

My name is Christina. I'll be 38 in just a couple of weeks. My screen name "miteslur" is the spelling of the way my last name sounds...Meitzler. I have a sweet 23 month old daughter, Cierra, whom keeps me on my toes daily! She is the light of my life and my reason for happiness. There was a time in my life that I thought I'd never be able to have children, so she is my personal blessing from God. I have a great husband who loves me no matter what size I am. He is kind and considerate. We enjoy being together.
This time around, losing weight is not just a phase. For me, it's finally about being healthy over all. I'm tired of all the negative feelings I have towards myself because of my extra weight. This weight loss journey is for keeps! I want to enjoy an adventurous life with my daughter and I want to be a good example for her.

BEACH #1
Banned: I have _________to do tonight (after work) so I'll exercise (go to the gym) tomorrow.

Changed habit: I will exercise M,W,F no matter what. Exercise on any other day is an added bonus that benefits me.

BEACH #2
Banned: Water doesn't sound good or taste good at the moment.

Changed habit: I will drink at least 16 oz. of water before each meal.

Hi, I'm Susie-68 year old grandma to two lil boys and 2 lil girls. I live in Florida, one daughter lives in the same state, but hours away-she has the girls; my eldest daughter lives in Westchester, NY, with the 2 little guys. I am retired and visit each of the daughters several times a year. I haven't been married for a very long time-have many good friends here in Florida where I moved to 4 years ago from New York.

Glad to meet all my new buddies and old ones as well on this site.

In order to succeed at weight loss I must be:
determined
consistent
exert will-power

Hi, I'm Teri.
I'm 26 and I live in Ontario, Canada. I have a 10 month old son, Robbie, with my soul mate/boyfriend, Charles. I'm still on maternity leave until September! YAY...but that means I have to start looking for a job. BOO

My banned excuse is: If I start to workout, Robbie will just interrupt me.

Instead, I will start a habit of doing active things a lot throughout the day with my son, and once a day, while he's napping I will do a heavy workout.

Today I'm giving myself a 4 because I did a lot of activity with Robbie. We went for a walk and did about a million laps around the house. We also kicked a ball around and I carried/swung him a lot. However, he didn't take a long enough nap. He usually sleeps for about 2 hours in the afternoon but today he woke up after a half an hour and no matter what I did he couldn't get back to sleep. However, there's still time, if I can get my studying done soon I'll try to do some yoga before bed. Smile

Good morning, getting a late start! I walked for 40 mins on the treadmill yesterday at 3.5 mph for 30 of it. I get another 5, yay!

My totals are:

Mon, 7/21 - 5
Tue, 7/22 - 0
Wed, 7/23 - 5

I think I'm going to at least weigh what I did last Fri, which is great! I'll kick butt next week, promise! Will take my measurements as well.

Hello Team!!

I'm not feeling very well today. I'm dealing with a lot of stress and it's really taking a toll on my body. I just got back from taking my girls on a walk to the post office. We stopped at the park on the way home. I think in total we walked about an hour. I pushed Ky in the stroller for a while cause she got lazy. Thats an added 40lbs for around 20 min. So far I'll give myself a 4 today. I know I'm not eating enough and that's not healthy BUT I ate WAY too much on Tuesday and I have to even out. I'll tally my totals and weigh in tomorrow Smile

*fingers Crossed*

Go Yellow!! Have a great day team!!
Monday- 5
Tuesday- 0
Wednesday- 5
Thursday- 4 Smile

I'm back on track!! Did a great hour long walk!!

Hi everyone. My name is Stacey and I am from a small Texas town. I'm 29 and married with 2 children, ages 8 and 3. I work 2 jobs while my hubby works nights, so even though I'm married, I'm pretty much a single parent. It's been really stressful and I've had several health issues come up lately. My weight has always been a problem for me and most of my family. I'm determined to get healthy and break that cycle.

My banned excuse is "I don't have time to ____ (eat healthy/exercise/etc.)

My changed habit is that I will drink 3 bottles of water (or the equivalent) daily and will exercise an hour at home 5 days a week.

I haven't done so well this week. Here are my "ratings":
Mon: 2
Tues: 3
Wed: 3
Thurs: 3
But I am DOWN a pound since MONDAY! Still up one from when I weighed originally, but it's the first loss I've seen in months! YAY! Very Happy

Hello everyone!

I am doing good. This morning I actually woke up early enough to squeeze yoga in before the rush hit me. geez! Actually I had a feeling I wouldn't make it to the gym. Now the bad thing about yoga at home alone is
I don't do it as long as I should. So how do I rate that? my B.E. is do yoga and don't complain its too hot for the gym. I did yoga but not long enough, I didn't go to they gym for OTHER reasons, does this sound like an excuse... heeeheehe.

ok so
Mon 5
tues 2

thurs 3?
i have no idea what i weigh, i only have a scale at the gym Mad I do, however feel the bloat lifting off!

I am going out for a girls night, I am going to try not to drink. I don't seem to like the feeling anymore. That bites, because I remember prepregnancy I really enjoyed a cocktail.
Doubt

Nice to meet all of you. I left out I was 27. Am 27.

Sista, I am happy to hear you are taking charge of your health issues. We are only given this one body, make it shine!
Keri I know what pushing a 40 pound kid feels like, the stroller doesn't even budge! ugh, kudos for that. I feel super strong when I do w/ a cart full of stuff too! lol

Have a wonderful weekend, don't forget to email me by friday!

Tally:

Monday: 4
Tues: 5
Wed: 3
Thursday: 3

I say 3 for today because having eaten dinner our, there was a bit too much sauce in the foods I chose. However, I am still sticking to ban my idea that I am on maintenance; instead I consider today a slip from dieting and definitely am not putting myself on maitenance. Tomorrow I'll eat home and work towards a 5.

HI I'm Miranda, 31yr old massage therapist from Huntsville, AL. I'm married to a wonderful guy and have three awesome step-kids. My BEACH involves me being picky. I won't eat foods that I think have weird textures or I dont like how they feel in my mouth, but THAT is all STOPPING NOW!!! I've done really well this week! And i'm sure its funny that eating things like raspberries or oatmeal is hard for me, but I know its a mental thing and i've been physically fat for so long its time my mind gets onboard to help me lose the flab Very Happy

I am 37 yrs old, and am off work due to injury from a fall, in Oct 07. I deal with consistent pain, as well, from my feet, and advanced neuropathy. My BEACH:

Woo hoo! I'm finally getting off my butt and excersing again. I went to the gym and did the treadmill again for 35 mins at 3.5 mph. I plan on adding 5 mins each week. I usually do 40 mins so by the end of the challenge I should be at about an hour. This challenge really is motivating me to get my 30 mins of activity everyday. Thank God! I know how much it helps when you're trying to lose and I want my damn graph to start going downward again!

Sadly, no loss this week but ya'll just wait!

7/21 - 5 pts - 40 mins on treadmill, crunches
7/22 - 0 pts
7/23 - 5 pts - 40 mins on treadmill
7/24 - 5 pts - 35 mins on treadmill

Weight 179.8
Current measurements:
Waist - 32
Low Waist - 38.5
Hips - 41.5

Hope the challenge is motivating ya'll too!
