????

Now that's a team name one can be inspired by and aspire to...although 4 weeks may not suffice. I will certainly try!

My question: Should we post our Daily Tally here or on the Challenge board? I am a daily poster (aka OCD) so I need to know.

I am trying to post an inspirational photo. Let's see if it works.

debbie you can go back into your "signaure" and edit it out. I sent you a message explaining some things.

I'm so glad you all like the name. It doesn't matter if we are already Red Hot Beach Bod's or not.. it's still a good goal to keep in mind.

for posting pics, make sure you are using a picture with an internet address. Photo bucket is a free and good place to upload your own pics or get ones and they have easy links to use for posting them other places (like here at FS)

make sure you have [ img ] internet address of photo but don't use spaces anywhere, I did that so you could see what to type.. but no spaces [ /img ]

that should work for photos.

your welcome Debbie

I want to post a sample of what I might post on the main BEACH challenge post later tonight or in the morning.
TALLY POINTS

RED HOT BEACH BOD'S TEAM
TALLY POINTS Monday is 5 points

my challenge was to keep on track, not get off track with visitors, vacations, restuarant eating, etc...

today we were out shopping and it took longer than we expected. It was past snack time for me and I was getting hungry but I had pre-planed and had some serving sizes of almonds in the glove box of the car. I bought a diet soda and had my almonds and felt better. tonight I also got the idea out of my head of going to buy a scoop of ice cream just because we had a COUPON to buy one and get one free at Coldstones. I have not really planned ahead for a treat and calories like that today so I turned my thoughts away and came here to FS instead. I think that deserves a high 5!

Day One - 5 points for me! I had to go out of town for a meeting today. Left the house at 6am for a three hour drive and returned at 6pm. Packed my snacks and lunch so that I would not be tempted to go to the mexican restaurant with the crowd. Surprise, they chose SubWay so I saved my can of soup and got a subway grilled chicken salad! I cleand my frig and snack cabinet yesterday so that my allowable snacks are within my reach and other snacks are to high for me to reach or in the back of the frig. Yea!!!!!!!!

Hope you are all doing well and excited about this challenge. For those of you who are interested in the Wii Fit progress this is day 4 and I'm sore! That's a good thing. My husband is even doing yoga poses! He looks so cute in the warrior pose!

that is so funny Karenfit4life.. about hubby looking so cute in the warrior pose! You had an awesome day!! great for you! If might be better if you posted at the main BEACH challenge post, but if you want to post here on the team post that is okay too. ImLuuvd said you can post here if you prefer to, so its a matter of choice. I love the way you handled this day. Definately deserves a HIGH 5!!

Hey there REd Hots! We're on our way to a smokin' time at the beach!! HOpe everyone had a great first day! I'll give myself a 3 for today- did well on the food part, but gave in to a refreshing adult tea on the deck, and just couldn't manage to squeeze in any extra exercise. I did do the slip and slide with the kids and I think I sweated off a few pounds just being outside in this heatwave!!Laughing

Looking forward getting to know everyone and motivating eachother to get through this challenge!

Densible, you can either post here on the team post or at the main challenge post. Be sure to put head your post 'TALLY' so Imluuvd and lifeguards have an easier time finding them in all the posts.

Hey! I understand OCD.. actually I really am OCP (obsessive compulsive Personality). You lay it down where it doesn't belong, I pick it up... automaticlly, that my "Thing", that's what I do. hehehe

Hi Everyone, Today was a 4 for me. I did pretty well. Only missed my WW watchers goal by 1 point. I was soooo....hungry tonight.

I have worked out a plan so that I know exactly what my daily point tally will be.

B.E.A.C.H. - My changed habits - Five days a week any exercise and three days a week weight training; Daily log of food and exercise and staying within my WW points total.

Exercise - 2 points for at least 10000 steps each day; or 2 points for 30 min exercise plus weight training.

Food - 3 points if I log everything and keep within the WW point total; 2 points if I log everything but miss the point total; 1 point if I log everything on the next day but miss point total;

This challenge has already inspired and motivated me. Yesterday I was on track only because I knew the Team was with me. I will have to find a way to stay motivated when I am not in a challenge or part of a team. Today Im planning ahead again. Now I need to go chop veggies and get housework done.
Last night I got on my wobble board for a long time while watching television and did some light yoga and exercises. I never journal those because I don't know how to count that sort of thing. Maybe the wobble board could be "standing".

Challenges are the key for me too. I intend to ALWAYS be in a challenge. It's the upside of peer pressure!

Today I went to lunch with some work colleagues-talk about a BEACHing sessionVery Happy

I ordered one crab cake and arugula-dressing on the side and drank a gallon of ice tea-so excuse me if I read buzzed......

The place we dined is well known for its bakery and I had intended to have a chocolate cookie and share a blackberry tart. I had made up my mind. Well when the moment came I just couldn't. I thought "What Would Helen Mirren Do?" I feel so good right now-better than any sugar rush. I just have to get through dinner.....

Janelleas: I think you can count wobble boarding as "light calisthenics" don't you think?

Densible, you did great at the restaurant. I understand a place like that which is so tempting. Its amazing what control we can have as a "team" isn't it. But... It is a fact that people who join "goups" and have "group support" do lose better those struggling on their own.

Im not sure about that darn wobble board, it seems pretty easy, almost like Im not doing much at all.

I did great at dinner last night-used my measuring cups to stay honest. Did not exercise at all apart from calisthenics in the morningCrying or Very sad So I gave myself a 3.

Today I checked in with my spirit guide Helen Mirren (see below) and got my arse out of bed and went run/walking with the dog and did all my exercises including the dreaded lunges. All that's left is weights which I'll do later....I feel a 5 coming on!!!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Cheers!

I love that pic of Helen Mirren, if she can look like that at 62 yrs of age, then I should be able to at least get granny bathing suit decent looking. Dont think I'd ever wear a bikini though. Loved her in Calendar Girls. That was a memorable movie.
Just goes to show that we can still be "hot beach bod" seniors!
