weightwatchers! I dont have a book till i get to my first class....i am 10st 7lbs, am 5ft 4inches, am 26 and female...please tell me my points allowance anyone and what i can add for 2 hours of inense cardio a day?? xxxx

hmmm so about 22! probably try not go over 18 even when do exercise!

3.5 weeks till my birthday and want to lose about 9lbs - do we think this is possible.

any tips/advice - its a good 2 years since did weightwatchers!

Just stay focused on keeping your points in check - use this site as a guide until you get your books. Don't underestimate points - round up instead of down, keep exercising! Don't be susceptible to O.C.D. monitoring of the scale - the weight will come off. 9 lbs in 3.5 weeks is "doable" - but I have heard that the closer you get to goal weight, the slower it goes Doubt

YES I agree - I always overcompenstate and will do so with my points! Will be very strict until I can get my hands on a book!

Also...hmmm 'doable', I'll take that as yes I can!

Thanks alot, right off to the gym as way over points today but to be far didnt decide was going to do WW until this afternoon! Wink

When I was regularly attending meetings I wasn't exercising, so maybe I missed it, but you can only earn 4 points a day by exercising? I would be worried about undereating in that case (thereby inviting starvation mode), since I'm giving myself only an extra 9 points and I still only eat a thousand calories under my exertion.

That's cool though. I'm actually pretty happy to be monitoring my actual calorie intake here, so I'm keeping an eye on this...my goal is to burn about 1k calories per day more than I eat (that's about 2 lbs per week), but if it's a little more and I'm not hungry I don't go for the gusto. I'm concerned about undereating especially given that my exercise routine is relatively new to me, and also that I've been in starvation mode before and it doesn't exactly do wonders for my psyche.

Mix feelings
Keep yourself busy so that you don't have time for a snack. If you really just want to eat something sweet or salty you can, but only in small amounts. Just think how bad you would feel afterwards ...

This is a good starting point, but you really need an exercise plan to maximize the results. Even if it is just walking. Get moving!
