THANKS so much to *today* for setting up our own page for us to post to....Quite honestly, I didn't know how!

And YES....posting our activity here makes it MUCH easier for monitoring the MAIN Forum....

Also, Sibby has it right....see her post just above for EVERYTHING that should be sent to me by Saturday afternoon....

This really HELPS to spread out the work involved in monitoring AND reporting on the challenge...It was a TERRIFIC amount of work for the first week....I was ALMOST CRAZY trying to follow EVERYONE for the first week.....LOL.....This way, the onus is on each one of us to be sure our activities, mini challenge responses, and whether we post daily or not are CREDITED to the team as a whole....

Kudos fo Prettyface for her response on the Main Forum with regards to focused activity....(see page 55 I think!) She is ABSOLUTELY right - this challenge is about getting us moving and off our couches! Some of us ARE more active than others....
so if this challenge helps even ONE person to build a new habit - then it will have been worth it!

YOU - my teammates - are ALL doing terrific.....We had a great loss last week....Although I haven't weighed in - I just MIGHT have a BIG loss to record this week coming....My sis's scales weighed me in at 19 pounds heavier than last week....That's just plain WRONG so I didn't record it.... I have been quite well focused on my eating AND my exercise since I've been on vaca....Sooooo, I remain hopeful for a Saturday weigh in being DOWN....on the scales!

Going boating today, hopefully the beach one last time for tomorrow, off to Epcot Center on Friday, Animal Kingdom on Saturday and I fly out Sunday morning about 9...

I'm going to miss the warmth and sunshine of the south but I hear it's warming up in Maine a bit....It's ALWAYS a terrific spring, summer and fall there. Just the winters are soooooo long!!

I got in a 90 minute walk on the beach again yesterday....My sis and I practically race....just to keep up with each other....It's a bit of a mini challenge we set with each other....but it's been the BEST way to get my exercise in while away....You could literally walk for miles on the beach here....!
We figure we do 4 - perhaps a bit more.....it's been great!

You ALL keep up the GREAT effort and after Sunday - you'll all be tired of hearing from me for the rest of the Challenge.....!

Huggies and I'll post again soon.....Huggies...>Deb

yay! Im so happy we have this mini forum, it was hard to keep track on the big one! I couldnt believe we were second b/c I never saw our teams posts haha. I hope to be more communicative on this one!

Yesterday I walked 15 min back to my apt, plus 25 more min with the dog and then we went grocery shopping for an HOUR! and i pushed the cart, we parked on the street and carried all the bags back to our place ... woohoo

total 35 min morning+ 35 min after work + 60 min groceries = 130 min !!!

Today so far ... 20 min walk to car and 20 min doggie walk! I added some pushups and situps but they only took like 2 min. oh well!

thanks sibby and deb that does clear things up! and i'm also glad, this forum should make things way easier!
so where is the rest of our team!!! i want to be buddies w/ all of you!
i am finding it really hard to find extra focused activity. i have gotten back into my routine of an hour at the gym! good right, but what else, the rest of the day is work and kids and cleaning house!? oh i did some small weights and stretching while watching a movie... but what else?? i still haven't gotten up for yoga in the morning. i want to do it w/ oxygen (tv), inhale i think its called! i'll work on that!
GOSH DEB, what an awesome way to enjoy the challenge... walking miles on a beautiful beach for vacation!!! what a way to do it right!?

Ahah, I need to move some more again. I did really well on Sunday (7 miles!), but all I've done since then is clean the house. (On the positive side, every stitch of clothing in my house is clean.) Laughing

Thank goodness you asked all the questions ladies! I was so confused. Post where, email who, answer what? I think I have it down now.

As for the snow Deb... don't know how far north you are but today we're looking at 70 degree whether in Southern NH. Eventually all that snow WILL melt. Though I did hear there's lousy weather for the weekend so enjoy Florida while you can!

Arrow For Tuesday.... 45 minutes of cardio workout and stretching

Today I have plans to go walking after my job interview. I think that interviews should count as a workout somewhere, after all my heart races soooo bad.Shock

I live in Maine jeanvabu....Boothbay Harbor....and I'm soooooo happy to hear of 70's in NH....means the weather at home is prob in the high 50's maybe 60's....And yes, the snow WILL melt....Spring's a coming....to the NorthEast.....and soon I'm betting....

Had another (and last) really good and focused walk on the beach today....another 4 miles or so.....took us 90 minutes again....but we did stop once to play in the surf.....it was so nice....breezy but not too hot....it was a PERFECT day day here.....off to Orlando in the morning....and home on Sunday.....

Get ready for the challenge to get revved up into high gear....I'll have MORE time now to focus on everything and everyone.....! Looking forward to that....I think I'll have a loss to report....I've been exceptional on my vaca....well....maybe very good is better....lol....The worst I've done is have a few strawberry margharitas.....but they are soooooo YUMMY.....! Especially on a hot day!

Yesterday, I walked with a friend for two hours in the 70 degree weather in the woods! It was fabulous to be back outside and not need a jacket. Of course today it's cold again and tomorrow they're predicting snow. I'm now determined to wear my sandals so I'm hoping the snow stays away.
