1. Make sure that you are taking a good multi-vitiamin.
2. Make sure that you are eating enough.
3. Exercise (at least a little).
4. If all else fails, have some coffee. I add 1 T of heavy cream and 1 packet of SteviaPlus so that it only adds 1 carb to may daily total.

You may experience several days (2-5) of low energy when starting this plan. This happens because your body is "addicted" to the bad carbs. If it gets too bad, bump your carb intake up to 25 grams and see if that helps. If that makes you feel better stay there for a few days and then try and go back down to 20. One final thing...make sure that you are getting enough sleep, it really can make a huge difference when you are making a big change like this.

Keep up with your veges too. You can do it, and you will get through it if you perservere!

I have to second that veggies are not optional on this plan. They give you the vitamins and minerals to keep your energy. If you work through the first few days, you will feel so much more energetic once the detox passes. Hang in there, it does get easier.

Try a B Complex vitamin too along with the Multivitamin - it's supposed to boost your energy - take it when you get up... it doesn't make you nervous either. Get out and go for a walk if the weather is warm enough where you live. Where I live it's the dead of winter and too cold to go outside but I found if I was exhausted a good 50 to 60 minute walk through my town really gave me energy - and relaxed me and made me feel more 'up'- it elevated my mood as it probably released endorphins as I walked at a very brisk pace. I can't wait to get back to walking in the next month ahead once the weather warms up some!!! Good luck!! Smile

Those are some great tips, Glenn. I also thought of another tip. Until you detox from carbs, eat more small meals throughout the day until your body switches into ketosis. That way you will have constant energy throughout the day.
