Of course we all know that the Atkins diet is about whole foods and making nutritionally sound choices. We also know that we are often busy and hungry at the same time. There are actually a lot of options out there for us. So, when you have to eat fast food, what are your favorites?
Here are my favorites from where I live WITH the Net Carbs calculated for you. If you post your favorites try to post net carbs too so we can all benefit.
Thanks all!
Carl's Jr:
Guacamole Bacon Burger in a Lettuce Wrap (6g)
Side Salad w/ 1/2 of the ranch dressing, no croutons (5g)
Jack in the Box:
Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich, no bun (3.9g)
Chicken Club Salad (grilled chicken) no croutons, 1/2 dressing (7g)
Sirloin Bacon Cheeseburger, no bun (5.8g)
Side salad w/ 1/2 ranch dressing, no croutons (5g)
McDonald's:
Grilled Chicken Ceasar Salad, no croutons (12g)
Quizno's:
Chicken Ceasar Salad, no flatbread, 1/2 dressing (8g)
Subway:
Tuna Salad (7.0g)
Roast Beef or Turkey Breast Salad (8.0g)
Veggie Delight Salad (6.0g)
Love the food that loves you back.

I miss Carl's Jr. and Jack In The Box a lot - hate to admit it - I used to live in Los Angeles and now I'm back in my hometown in Massachusetts and we don't have those here - Target just arrived in the past ten years or so here, but I digress getting off of food, anyway I like getting a Whopper Jr. and just taking off the bread - or a double dollar cheesburger at McDonald's too - no bread , any salads at either place are fine. The Wendy's in my town closed as the owner went bankrupt - but I guess their burgers and salads might be OK too...good question...
My name is GlennM- Hi! I was quite overweight about ten years ago for my height. I am thin now. I have only Atkins to thank for making me trim again. Stick with this diet long-term everyone if you can. It works! Now I'm doing Calorie
Count as maintenance. Thanks for any and all support.

I miss Target. I had one nearby when I lived in California. Here I have to drive 60 miles to the closest one.

Beware of the Subway wraps. They used to have a low carb wrap but it is now high carb. I emailed the company to complain and they were less than sympathetic. I've heard that some Subways may still have the low carb version but I don't know if that is true. I guess that you have to ask about it, but then I'm not sure I would trust the workers to know for sure.
The Quizno's black and blue salad is pretty low carb if you order it without the flatbread and dressing (6 net carbs). Add a dressing that is low carb and you're good to go!

My husband gets the black and blue at Quiznos and he just has 1/2 of the dressing. You don't need all that they give you. I just dip my fork in it. If you know the carb counts you can allow for it and make modifications. I don't know that they have a "low-carb" dressing, do they? if so, which one?

Jack in the Box now has GRILLED CHICKEN STRIPS! 0g net carbs except for watever you dip the strips into. I recommend ranch or regular mustard.
