Edamame on Phase 1 ???

Can anyone tell me if edamame is allowed?? If you don't know it is a green soy bean. I enjoy them as a snack. I appreciate the help!!

I don't remember. It is considered a bean, though, like pinto or otherwise. What does it say for those kinds of beans?

Beans are listed just that "beans" no specification. I assume it is fine but... we know what assume does! I appreciate your help!

OK, it is coming back to me now. I believe that 1/2 cup is one serving, but allowed on Phase 1 because I remember you can do SBD if you're vegetarian so beans provide the extra protein. Good luck with Phase 1!

I read my book last night! I guess I should have done that to begin with! Yes, edamame is allowed even on phase 1 & there are recipes also!

MMmmmm... I'm intrigued pretty face!! Please post some of the recipes that you try and like!! I have "loaned" my book to someone and haven't gotten it back. I've not tried the edamame yet and would like to, but haven't seen many recipes for it yet. ~Thanks!

Edamame recipes! I will do that later today or this evening! I have bowling today! At least I will get out of the house. With the snow storms we have had I am getting cabin fever!!! But I have all of you!!!

I actually have the SB Diet book and it has a Edamane Salad recipe listed under Phase One.
I haven't tried the recipe but it has 1 (16 oz) bag of frozen shelled edamane with other ingredients and serves 4. I hope this helps.
