Anyone else feel nauseous?

I just started the South Beach diet 2 days ago. I've been feeling a bit nauseous - not to the point throwing up, but definitely a bit queasy. I really think it is the diet and not some kind of stomach bug. Anyone had a similar experience?

I'd like to see what others here say. I was very very ill with heart issues when I started this diet so mine wasn't a normal situation. I did not have any feelings like you're mentioning though. Make sure youre drinking your water and let's see what others say. Best wishes to you.

Im not sure either. I never had nausea either. I am not sure what you are eating? Are you making sure you don't get hungry? I do know that if you are eating more high fiber foods than you are use to, it can cause nausea until your system adjusts. Sorry, I sure hope you feel better soon!

Some people go through a detox period with low-carb diets. If you continue the diet and it doesn't go away in 2-3 days you might want to see your doctor. Also, with any major change of eating there is a chance you may be eating more of a particular food that you are allergic to that you weren't eating as much of before. That is one of the reasons to keep a food journal.

You can log water in your daily diet intake. Water is pretty individualized anymore. the 8 glasses is some arbitrary number.

bad cholesterol
Red yeast rice worked for me. I now take it only intermittently, and my cholesterol is stable around 5.8. Good luck!
