I woke up early this morning and went for a walk around my neighborhood -- hopefully I can stick to that plan. I discovered smart playlists on my iPod, so now it creates a twenty minute playlist for me and I know exactly how long to walk to get my twenty minutes in without having to check my watch.

OK, Pats. I must say: I love the combination of competitive cowboy poetry and confucian wisdom on persistence. I am filled with a kind of yin and yang of wild west wackiness. Smile

Yeah, I went to File > New Smart Playlist.

Then I added these rules:

BPM is in the range 120 to 140*
Last Played is not in the last 7 days
Genre is not Comedy
Genre is not Podcast
Limit to 20 minutes selected by Random
Live Updating

* Beats per Minute isn't calculated automatically by iTunes, but you can use beaTunes. beaTunes isn't free, but they give you a 15 day trial during which you can set the BPM for your entire library.

I've found that it helps to have a couple of one minute songs in your library, so that the smart playlist can fill in the extra needed space. I (legally) downloaded the Bioshock sound track which contains about a dozen short tracks.

Hope that helps!

Question...I'm going to be out of town from Saturday Am until Sunday afternoon, not sure if I'll be able to weigh in by Sunday at 5, oh actually is that EST or your PST? because I'll be able to (I think) by PST! If not then I'll just send Juno my weight as of Saturday morning instead. Sorry if this is confusing!

Last week all the times were PST, so I'd guess PST would work this week too. Wink
