Ok I know that this is kind of off the wall but I have discovered CocaCola Zero.. OMG this stuff is great especially when I need something sweet.. it does tend to foam up a little more than regular coke but geez this is good. Very Happy

I was totally addicted to Coke Zero - it tastes just like regular coke! I only allow myself one a week now - I was drinking way too much of it. Its a definite treat for sure!!!! Try it frozen too - yum!!!

Try the cherry Coke Zero. I don't usually like the flavored colas but this one is excellent!! I, too, limit how many I drink but they really are a nice treat now and then. Very good with low carb pizza!

My favorite drink is diet Sunkist. The only bad thing is it has aspertame...so I drink it as a rare treat! Coke Zero is good with cherry, but again..the aspartame..

I noticed a lot of Pepsi products have aspartame, I don't know about the others, but aspartame is not reccommended on Atkins. Just a warning to all who are following Atkins.

Look for products sweetened with Splenda instead.

Love the food that loves you back.

Take it one day at a time!

You know what? As long as you limit yourself you can have aspartame. It is not harmful in small doses.

I LOVE Sunkist diet soda. I just don't drink more than one a day and I do just fine =)

Yeah, aspartame isnt necessarily that bad as far as doing Atkins..but in some it supposedly stalls weightloss. I dont drink pop with aspartame like I used to if at all (except my diet sunkist) b/c aspartame changes to formaldehyde after imbibed. That is why I like Atkins way of eating..it is clean. Well, now I have to start growing my own veges..Im just sure I am ingesting pesticides from my veges no matter how much I rinse them...and buying organic is great for those who can afford it..! I dont want to risk going more brain damage from chemicals than I already have haha!!!

You are absolutely correct Shannon21 , there are numerous sites on the internet regarding aspartame breaking down not just into formaldehyde but into alcohol!! It is also regarded as being an appetite stimulant due to the way it breaks down in the body. The splenda diet drinks are a little better to imbibe. Folks, water, is still number one. I find the longer I go without drinking sweetened drinks the less I like the taste of them and actually prefer water.

My favorite drink is water with fresh squeezed lemon juice and a pinch of stevia. So refreshing!

Have you guys ever looked at the amount of sodium in these drinks? It's unbelievable and if any of you are dealing w/ water retention, this could be your culprit! Shock

'Fraid so. Try weaning yourself down to 1. Try a spritzer (with soda water) as this makes it a long drink. :)
