What have you noticed since losing weight?

I was just walking from my desk to the restroom when I noticed that I am moving much more quickly than I had been. I'd noticed it once or twice before, but it hadn't sunk in that it was due to losing some weight. I still have over 100 pounds to lose, but have lost about 30 pounds (and actually about 40 as I'd lost about 10 before joining this group)...and it already is making a difference...So what have YOU noticed????

ive noticed that since ive lost weight, i fit in some chairs easier, i can pick stuff up off the floor easier, not breathing as hard when i walk, compared to how it was when i first started...food doesnt seem to call my name everytime i open the fridge or the cabinets like it use to...i just feel so much better for having finally deciding to work on my weight issue and changing my eating habits for the better
just remember that nobody, I mean NOBODY, is looking out for your health, except for YOU !!!!!!

When I do my stretches after my workout my tummy doesn't get in the way as much when I go to reach towards my toes.

Love the food that loves you back.

After two and a half months of yoga, yesterday was the first day I was able to do the movement where you're lying flat and you "reach for your toes" (basically, go into a situp from a lying flat on your back position). I amazed myself by doing it with the rest of the class. Before, I had just too much weight on my trunk to be able to do it, and too much back pain otherwise.

After a year of nothing, I'm finally starting to notice gentlemen checking me out. Ok, mostly construction guys in our neighborhood development but it's a start!

I also noticed I actually have a collar bone, I had to move my steering wheel closer in the car, and in case anyone wondered, yes, I can finally reach everything I'd like to shave.

That's progress!

At my highest I was 310- I've noticed how much better I feel. I've been overweight so long now I forget what I'm supposed to feel like. It's amazing how much better I feel from every few more pounds gone.

And I'm starting to notice what potential I have to be a hot mamma! Wink

I have more energy, I'm not hungry 24/7 like I used to be, clothes are fitting and I'm starting to really notice a difference in my own self-esteem. Very Happy

ENERGY Surprised is probably the best thing. I wake-up in the morning with it and it stays with me all day. I'm also enjoying the flexibility I once had.Very Happy

my rings are not so tight that they cut of circulation any more...this is awesome...i had to stop wearing my wedding ring and a family ring and a couple of days ago i realized that they went on with no problems...Very Happy

I guess the main thing I notice was that my clothes were too big. I had to purchase smaller belts because I went from a waist size 38 to a 33.

Haha, mainly the reappearance of my skeleton, especially the collarbone and ribs! Very Happy Also, my ring became too loose.

My knee doesn't hurt anymore! Also, when I walk, I notice that my arms aren't rubbing against my love handles as much anymore, it's an awesome feeling! It's also kind of weird to me since I've only lost 12 lbs so far. Fantastic nonetheless!

BONES! Collarbone, sternum, ribcage...it's been so long, I guess I'd forgotten I even had so many bones. Also, when I carry laundry up from the basement, I'm no longer winded. And the last time I went to see a movie, I fit much better in the seat! All cool discoveries!

I've noticed that my lap got bigger! Less tummy overhanging so I am more easily able to rest my hands in my lap and I don't have to clasp my fingers to keep my arms in place! Oh the simple pleasures in life Wink

i just had a revelation the other day that my back no longer hurts! it used to kill when i got out of bed in the morning or was laying down watching tv for a while. gone!

My collarbones! They are creepy and amazing at the same time.

I was doing something the other day, and I went to push my hair out of my face, and my ring flew off.

A long time ago, when I lost most of my weight, I lost 2 shoe sizes.

Man! I forgot this post started last year. So the updated version is that I'm now 30-32 in the waist and went from x-large shirts to medium/large. So yep, clothes are the main thing I noticed. Cool

I noticed that when I give my Husband a hug, my arms wrap further around him, and our bellies aren't the first thing that touches! My rings are too big, my clothes are too big, and I have waaay more energy! Laughing

From the "big weight loss" - how uncomfortable it is to sit on the floor or sleep on my side without the extra padding, and how I'd cut myself shaving my legs due to the bones (I've since switched to waxing).

Recently, I was walking yesterday wearing my raincoat and felt strange until I realized the weight I'd lost in the past 2 weeks since I'd worn it meant I could now move my arms freely as I walked. Laughing

Clothes are loose, better sleep(usually) better energy, not depressed all the time and beating myself up about my weight, more motivation to keep going than when I first started, better confidence, generally happier with myself, less self conscious in bed..no longer avoiding mirrors!

My pants and sleeves feel looser and I'm much more flexible and stronger from continuing to exercise almost daily for almost 3 months.

Oct. 2013 I was up to 206l bs, today I'm 165 lbs. Easter is coming and I'm the cook. I will let my self have a small amout of all the no no's and be sure everyone takes food home so it won ...

Hi. Have you tried any suppliments with black cohosh? That works fo me for night sweats. I was told that omega 3/6 supplements are good for mental clarity. Good luck to you.
