I play board games, card game, CCG, RPGs, limited video games (mainly Kirby games. I love that puff ball). I'm kinda nerdy, but hopefull in a year (that is my goal time frame) I will hot and nobody will care. Any other gamers out there?

Hey mimi! I am the only female gamer I know..but I can beat most of the guys I know at their own game, esp Mortal Combat. But right now I am playing Assasin's Creed for ps3. The graphics are awesome, but it is quite violent so I have to watch it when my 2-year old is around! She saw me hack a guy down, and looked at me with a confused look on her face and said "Mean man, mommy?" It was cute but I felt bad.
One other thing..video games are not too good for weight loss :0 I have to remind myself that running around fighting enemies with my rear on the sofa does not count as exercise!! LOL
Time is an illusion..
Lunchtime, doubly so.

Heya fellow gamers, Ive been a gamer all my life. From text based RPGs and old DOS games to FPS I just cant get enough. Im always playing an MMORPG too (FFXI right now and for the past 4 yrs). Yep, super dork! Ive got assassins creed too for the xbox 360. It feels pretty repetitive to me but it is fun and the graphics keep me going lol. My gaming habits dont really help the whole exercise thing, except for DDR!!

I'm not really; wasn't allowed one as a kid, but my boyfriend and I have a PS2 and enjoy playing 2 player games. I get frustrated that it's so difficult to find fantasy/hack 'em up type games (Champions of Norrath like) for 2 ppl. Any suggestions for PS2?

Total Gamer here...it's half of the battle of my weight gain. Would rather sit and play WOW all day and night then getting outside to do something. Life of games have started from Donkey Kong to WOW.

How did I miss this thread?!?! I am a total nerd. My husband and I play WoW together, along with several friends and my brother. We also have a PS2 and a large selection of games. It doesn't help the waistline, but on most of our days off we head to the gym for 1.5 hours and then head home and play for hours. LOL. That is when we aren't visiting with family or when my husband is not busy with school.

Nice! I'm a recovering WoW addict Wink so now I just play the CCG. Now I'm strictly a casual gamer, have a Wii and love it. Plus gets you off the couch. I got Dance Dance Revolution for Christmas and am looking forward for WiiFit too!

Not so much a computer gamer.... but very into boardgames especially Euro style games (Thebes, Ticket to Ride, Vikings, ect.) Anyone else on Boardgame Geek?

Occasionally I play PS2 games and I definitely am using my Wii to get a workout in.

My husband's whole family is addicted to a board game called "Settlers of Catan". (Has anyone else heard of it?) They bought all the expansion packs and we've played with up to 8 people by combining packs because even the expansion is made for 6 people. We play at every family function. It gets pretty intense. So I guess we are board game geeks too.

We also play DVD Clue with friends.

I am not a hard core gamer ... but I do have my faves. I LOVE football games. My hubby and I play Madden almost every night. There is also an online role playing called Popmundo (http://www.popmundo.com) that I have been playing for two years ... has anybody else ever heard of it, or am I the only one? Laughing

You guys should all join the new group I created, Gamers: The Gathering. sararay and I have been hanging out, talking about yummy game-inspired recipes like crunchy spiderlegs and we could use the company!

I'm way into Magic: The Gathering, and I play it with my kids. They also like Yu-Gi-Oh, and I play it with them, but I'm more into MTG. Don't do much video gaming. I like to make games, too.

I enjoy video games, but wouldn't call myself a "gamer". But anyway, if any of you have a hard time fitting in workouts because you'd rather be gaming, here is tip a buddy uses.

His setup includes a TV mounted up higher than normal right in front of his exercise bike. He plays mostly online multi-player games on the xBox360 (don't know which ones). Anyway, he says he'll get in a 20-30+ mile ride while playing, which keeps his mind off it.

Who says you can't be a gamer and a jock? Wink

I still call myself a "gamer" even though I don't play as much as I used to. I have a xbox 360 and wii but lately find myself addicted to a facebook game called "Starfleet Commander". I typically find myself playing RPGs just because I feel they offer more freedom to explorer and build your character, but I also like fighting games, sports games, and platformers. I actually have tried to make a plea with myself to not buy any new games until I have thoroughly played the ones I already bought. I bought the Super Street Fighter 4 game most recently and was playing that a lot at first but haven't played it in a while.

I am a gamer, more a boardgamer though. I really enjoy playing boardgames and it's one of the few things me and my boyfriend both enjoy. I wish I had a Wii, but we've still had arguements over the novelty factor.

This is a good starting point, but you really need an exercise plan to maximize the results. Even if it is just walking. Get moving!
