BOO! IT'S HALLOWEEN WEEKEND! WHOOOHOOOO!! I went walking today with my buddy and her whole neighborhood is decked out to the nines! (I'm the only one in my neighborhood who goes a little crazy! Wink ) Anyway, i love Halloween and i love to see the extent to which people go to celebrate! Plus the fact that candy is the central theme doesn't hurt! LOL! Anyway, would love to hear what plans people have, what costumes you and or your kids are going to wear. I have to live vicariously now as my kids are at the age where they trick or treat on their own with friends and unfortunately i don't get trick or treaters on my street (i didn't know when i moved in that the neighbors were all orthodox jews - they don't celebrate - of course that made for an interesting first halloween for us here -- after that i would "bus" my kids to the neighborhood nearby which was spectacular! LOL!
Also up until this year, i would throw my kids and their friends an annual Halloween Blowout bash with tons of games, food, and fun but now they're too old and too big (12 & 14) and at 45, no one i know is having halloween parties! Boo Hoo! (stick in the muds!) So fill me in, what's going on with you guys? and remember fun-sized candies are 2pts!

Why don't you throw a Halloween bash for you and your friends? I don't have children at all, but still love to celebrate. We have already been to one Halloween Party (last weekend) and are going to another tomorrow night. I am going as Goth Tinkerbelle.

Interesting. I agree it has turned us into a nation of couch potatoes. My kids grew up mostly without a tv. Ours died just before my 2 nd girl was born in 1978. I decided I really liked not having one. ...

This is a good starting point, but you really need an exercise plan to maximize the results. Even if it is just walking. Get moving!
