Sorry, Im new at this...Does anyone know if lima beans are ok for phase one of Southbeach? I did not see anything about onions either...Im going to look at my book again too.....

Ok, thanks in advance for your tips.....

I did Southbeach a couple years ago. I don't believe beans are OK for Phase 1, but you can have them in phase 2, in limited amounts (1/2 cup is one serving). Onions are fine. Correct me if I am wrong, but that is what I remember.

uhoh..i have had black beans--about 1/2 cup a few days last week. heat them up with a splash of texas pete--yummers!!! i guess that was not a good idea

I found a great site that list each food permitted at each phase, and even gives a list of which veggies have less carbs than others! It also has recipes so ENJOY!

I had black beans and kidney beans during phase 1 and still lost just fine. I think the book/websites only said to skip pinto beans.
