Hello everyone. I will be starting the LA Weight Loss program on Wednsday and am curious about what everyone else is doing for exersize, if any at all?
It's not so much about the weight I lose as it is about the confidence that I gain.

I definately incorporate exercise into my plan. I think it is just as important as eating right. I bike ride almost everyday and do some strength training about 3 times a week. I have also started a water aerobics class that is absolutely awesome.

I do treadmill (30 minutes) 3 time a week; and 30 minute walk everyday. If I can do more, it is bonus.

HI! I do a treadmill work out for 15 mins as a warm up to toning. Here is my routine:

Treadmill - 1-3 mins warm up, 3-5.5 mins brisk walk, 5.5-6 mins slow walk, 6-8.5 mins brisk walk increase incline, 8.5-9 mins slow walk, 9-12 mins brisk walk, 12-14 walk brisk/slow, 14-15 mins cool down.

Ball crunches 15 (3 reps)
Weights on ball
Reverse crunches 10 (3 reps)
arm bands workout

This has mostly toned me. Adding longer treadmill will increase fat/weight loss.

Yes, I need to incorporate more toning. Don't do it very much. It must do a good job!

I go to the gym 3 times a week. I would love to go more often, but I teach high school and it is so hard to fit it in, but I MAKE myself go at least 3 times a week. I LOVE the elipitical machine! I do 45-55 minutes on it and then 15-30 minutes of strength training (weights). I did more this summer before school started back. I started LAWL on June 14th and I have lost 22 lbs. I KNOW that exercise is a HUGE part of it. I was not doing ANY exercise before I started LAWL. I feel SO much better!

Yes, exercise is a big part - it speeds up weight loss and tones you up. I had to learn to like exercise. Try different types of exercise untl you find something you really like.

Hello all. I am so happy to have found this forum. I have been looking for an online support site for a while now. The topics you have discussed so far has answered all the question I wanted to know. For me I try to walk at least 4 times a week for 45 mins. If I have the energy I try to put in some jogging, but I am mostly a walker. Exercise helps out a lot. I am on the 2nd day of Take off. Hopefully tomorrow when I weigh in I will be down. Good luck everyone. Weekends are hard though.

Yeah, weekends can be tough, if you don't pre-plan. I managed to "do some time" on the eliptical though. Need to make that a priority. Very Happy
