I started on Monday (7.16) and have lost 5.5 pounds according to the scale. I tend to believe the scale is accurate because my husband is not doing the diet and claims the scale keeps telling him he is 203 every morning when he weighs himself.

Why does this seem too good to be true? I don't feel any thinner. How much do you have to lose to really begin to see it in yourself?

I stared out at 147, currently 141.5. I am hoping to get to 135 all said and done. I know that isn't that much weight to lose for a 5'6" woman. I am not sure if that is going to happen in the two weeks of the restricted phase 1. How much more weight loss should I expect in this coming second week?

I think you will really begin to feel it after about a 10 pound loss, although you should be feeling better already. Also, if you haven't been doing so, you need to complement the diet with exercise, of course... Good Luck!

Phase 1 is the best phase because you work hard and the payoff is awesome. You should expect to lose 8-12 lbs in the 1st phase. Phase 2 is the hardest because the weight comes off so fast in phase 1 and doesn't move in Phase 2. If it moves, it's really slow and therefore it gets frustrating. If you add the exercise in Phase 2 you will feel the difference and you'll feel like there's no stopping you. Good luck!! Great job on the 5 lb weight loss in 4 days!!

I agree that exercise in even small amounts will contribute to your weight loss. And it will make you feel thinner. You can also take your measurements. You'd be surprised how quickly the inches can go! Congrats on how well you are doing so far! Keep it up!
