Can we have Dannon Fit for Life, which is 60 calories sweetened with Splenda in phase 1?

My South Beach Diet book says you are to avoid all dairy in Phase 1. No milk, no yogurt, no soy milk. You can have low fat or fat free cheese in Phase 1. Yogurt is in the foods to add back in Phase 2.

I have three South Beach Diet books. All three say that you can have dairy products. They all suggest that you use either low fat or fat free yogurt in moderation. I have a 1/4 cup serving every day. The Astro No fat with a sweetner is good!

Actually the latest guidelines for dairy is 2 cups nf or 1% allowed in Phase 1. Plain nf yogurt is allowed and can be flavored with splenda and extracts (vanilla, chocolate, banana, etc.). Yogurts with fruit jam in them are not allowed, sorry. However, personally speaking, if you do eat the Dannon Fit, count it as your "sweets" calories. But if you can hold off till Phase 2, so much the better since you are detox your body from sugars right now. Good luck

To have a snack with a little more substance than just yogurt, I like to mix in 1/4 cup "Bob's Red Mill Muesli". Let it sit for 10 mins so the yogurt (favourite is Astro Low-Fat Vanilla) soaks into the muesli.

Can you do yogurt? A friend recommended to me plain yogurt with splenda mixed in. Maybe try that with some berries. I've been putting frozen raspberries in my protein shake.
