Hi Fran,

I too have just started on the Sonoma and have a large goal to reach....starting to weigh the same as a six foot man...not good especially considering that I am 5ft3!!!

I hope we can help each other out and come out the other side looking and feeling great!

Hi both. I bought the book but was going to send it back when it started talking about Waves and plate and bowl sizes. Sounded too complicated or am I just giving up because it looks like it will take some getting used to and effort? Love med. style food so in principal when I heard about it it sounded good. Are you finding it ok to plan meals etc and do you feel deprived following it?

I am doing the Shangri-la diet which is certainly working to suppress my appetite but there is no food plan and I think I need that as well. would you recommend Sonoma Diet?

Perhaps I will read book properly again and we can keep in touch and help each other.

Good luck - we can do it!!!

Hi, need re-assurance that once I finish reading the start of the book and Wave 1 it will be easy to follow. Portion combinations sounding a bit confusing at present with so many percentages of different things. Any advice? Should I buy a new plate and bowl to help me? Have you found anything that helped you?

Lovely to have this site where we can chat and support each other. Really important to have buddy's to talk to, whinge to, cry to, moan to.........!!

Have a good day everyone and good luck.Smile

I figured I needed to lose a HUGE amount of weight by August to be in my best friends wedding. I just found this site and dont have any buddys on here for support would be cool if we all can help each other out Smile I will check in later to see how we are doing. Have a great weekend...

The book is really helpful at least for me. You don't have to be like on a diet so it has been really easy to do it and you can do it without being perfect. I don't even look at it like a diet but more like a positive way of enjoying my food without expanding my waist line.

Hi All,
Just finished Wave 1 lost 4lbs then I fell off the wagon. It's hard to say no when people are pushing cake in your face. Hope we can all help each other out. I joined the sonoma diet website, figured I can use all the help I can getWink The diet isn't hard at all. The previous question was about the unlimited veggies. Yes they are unlimited and what I learned is when you feel like snacking have some of those veggies. Some cut up cucumbers or celery are good and easy to take with you. Hopefully we'll be successful

I am just starting wave 1 tomorrow. I would love a couple of buddies to take this journey with. I am looking at losing about 50-55 pounds and am in this for the long haul. I love to cook and this lifestyle is the most like me.

Hello to all!

I'm new to this site, but I've been on the Sonoma diet since August. I'm down 40 pounds and I feel great! I'm not eating processed food, stomach upsets, headaches and many vague aches and pains are a thing of the past. I have another 20lb to reach my goal.

For all of you that are just starting the Sonoma, the food is great, but to do it all the way, it can be expensive and you really should cook ALOT! My very thin husband loves the food! Tonight, we had sesame ginger grilled chicken (marinated in Newmans own light sesame ginger salad dressing) fresh spinach sauteed in olive oil with garlic and red pepper. I also roasted zuchini, onion and yellow squash after drizzling all with olive oil and sprinking with Kosher salt.

I started Sonoma on Monday...
I find it hard to navigate the website though and very slow.
I have 50lbs to lose due to quitting smoking in 03, and then work in 05.
I also am not that into this much cooking but I guess I should be if I am going to eat healthy..
Find it hard though.

Talk soon.
