I'm right here with you. I do the 16-8 and I absolutely love it.
Right now, I am healing after surgery, so I am not allowed to work out in any way other than calm walking.
I can say, though, that I normally do my strength training in the morning, and I have never had a bad workout after I started IF. I have pushed myself SO FAR this last year doing this.
I am, however, consuming calories (and macros) at maintenance level to ensure that I lose as little muscle as possible while working out.
Right now I consume 3300 calories per day, and keeping track like this, with a keen eye on proteins and fats in particular, makes it super easy. I have NEVER had better or bigger meals, and the food takes away all sugar cravings.

From October 4th 2010 to April 3rd 2012 I lost half my body weight - 80 kilos/170 lbs. Since then, I have had two cosmetic surgeries to remove excess skin. I have now quadrupled my strength, gained several kilos in muscle mass, and today I focus on building muscle, optimizing my diet, and living healthy. I am stronger, healthier, thinner, happier!
