Yes....if I drink one I can't "go" to the bathroom for 3 or 4 days, thus leaving all the bad stuff inside my body. I leave them alone. I'm not sure why that is.

I do not and have been having them for breakfast daily with a cup of coffee. They do not "bind" me up... I also get a fruit craving (strawberry) or a chocolate craving satisified with a shake.

The Daybreak bars that state All Phases are good. Do not use the ones that are not for all phases. Quick stall there.

As I state in my group, if you are under your carbs, we have no way of knowing if just one food or one action causes a stall, unless we NEVER stall without it. You would have to try something 20 times, and stall all 20 times, for anyone here to be accurately certain they do or don't.

I looked at your profile to see how many shakes you are eating a day, and I'd say don't be concerned with the shakes at this point.
You are WAY too low on carbs. Your fiber is WAY too low.

Your total carbs should be sitting right around 45.
That is because you should be getting 25 grams of fiber per day, and 20 NET carbs per day.

Lack of fiber DOES inhibit weight loss. Fiber is very very important.
Also, 12-15 NET carbs coming from veggies is very important. The healthier your diet is (more variety of vitamins and minerals from veggies), the more efficiently you will burn fat.

Also, with increased fiber comes increased need for water. The more water, the better you will loose (great how that works out)

So I'd suggest that you focus on your veggies. 12-15 NET per day from veggies, aiming for as close to 25 grams of fiber as you can get per day.

Denise. I really appreciate the time you took to look at my journal, but I am not counting NET carbs. I am counting TOTAL carbs. I, also, am doing induction, so I shouldnt be getting 45 carbs. I realize, in the perfect world, I should be getting 25 fiber. However, Kimm is helping me and I am limiting my carbs right now to get into ketosis. Again, tyvm for your time. I truly appreciate it.

The shakes actually don't "bind" me at all. I drink one about an hour before breakfast and save enough to put a little in my coffee. hasn't "failed" me yet. Wink
