careful! This is coming from someone with diabetes whose carb intake has to be kinda stable, but I hope you've consulted someone about this. Carbs are in most foods and aren't particularly "harmful"- just watch your overall caloric intake. 25g carbs per day could deprive our body!

Since this forum is ALL about the Atkins diet, carbs is what its all about.

Stars, People on Diabetes tend to have to consult their doctor to reduce or ELIMINATE their meds once they go on a low-carb diet. Based on your posts, you really don't have a grasp of the low-carb lifestyle, (if you even knew you were posting on the Atkins forum).

Milly, Don't forget to try to get your 25 NET carbs. That means total carbs MINUS fiber. You should be aiming for 25 grams of fiber a day. Don't forget to get 12-15 NET carbs from Veggies per day. (at least)
Make sure that you have read the 2002 DANDR book and/or done the lessons on the atkins site (www.atkins.com)

So frustrated!
8 pounds in a month is pretty great. That is 2 pounds per week. That is the far-end of the range of what you can leave and keep it off.

You should be able to add most of your foods by grams. If the only option is a teaspoon, there are 28 grams (dry) in a teaspoon.
