I often wonder about this. I usually weigh-in on Friday mornings only, but obvious, water weight and other factors can shift and sometimes that reading isn't representative of the actual weekly weight loss. Then again, is a daily weigh-in a good idea? Hmm...

I find daily weighing discouraging, but that is just speaking for me, so I weigh each Tuesday morning.

Sadly I hate weighting myself, but courage is part of this journey, since I am with a doctor, every two weeks I will face the scale with a nurse beside me!πŸ”πŸ”πŸ”πŸ€πŸ₯🐣, I am so scared, but I own a scale but I admit. Sometimes weeks and months pass by and woods, it gets really Dusty!
My signature is my determination, persistence, strength and assurance Thayne will achieve this dream. I will be free to dance, light as a feather and why not, pretty.

People put too much emphasis on bodyweight. It should go measurements>>mirror>>>scale. Especially daily differences. It takes at least a week to see fat loss on the scale and even longer if you don't eat the exact same thing every day. You'd have to have the exact calories, sodium and bowel movements daily for scale weight to give any sort of meaningful feedback on a day to day.

But it's human nature to want to see immediate results. Then you get journals with people freaking out about water weight fluctuations....

I record my weight on Friday mornings for consistency, once a week. I may step on the scale just to assess where I am between weekly weigh ins, but never let those "mid-week" numbers discourage me. Just keep moving forward and working hard and the results will come.

I weigh myself daily just to keep on top of things. Knowing that weight fluctuates, I make a point to only record it on my chart on Sunday morning. If I see my daily weight go up, I focus on drinking more water and eating more fiber rich vegetables.

That said, every person is different, so the routine that works for me, may not work for you. Same for diets. There are simply too many variables for a single way of eating to work for everyone. Smile

My Priorities:
1) How do I feel? Am I getting stronger, feel powerful, not run down?
2) Are my clothes fitting better? Arms or chest more snug, waist tighter.
3) How do I look? Does the mirror reflect a more fit person.
4) What is my weight? Is it trending the way I want it to.

Having said that I check my weight in the morning, after breakfast after a potty break a few times a week or so. I just check in to see that I'm trending the way I want to. If my weight is not trending the right way I slightly adjust my calories up or down. Calorie consumption is key to fat loss!

I BMI/weight in daily, but record information on 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th to keep an on going record. Knowing how weight fluctuates, I watch for a 1.5+/- range in weight.

I weigh myself every other day. I only log it when there is a change up or down.

Don't weigh yourself more than once a week ! It really helps

I weigh in once a week. He would drive me crazy if I jump on and off the scale. I only get depress or extremely happy depending on what the scale read.
