Im 5 4 and my goal weight was 125. I started at 169 and after I got to my goal of 125 I was not happy with my thighs, especially around my knees, so I have started to walk 10,000 steps a day, 6 days a week and have lost another 12 pounds. I wasn't planning on losing more weight, I just wanted to tone up, but I guess one can't really tone up without losing the fat under the skin. I can see improvement. I would say I am half way there. I want to get my knees and lower thighs ready for shorts season.

Sara329, you are doing great! Stay the course and increase your walking if you can! It really helps the joints as well as the calorie burn. My doctor says it has helped my cardiac risk factor stay in the safe zone so I am able to avoid cholesterol lowering medication. (Walking on the treadmill is the only exercise I do). Smile

My goal weight is your current weight! This is based on my frame, which includes my bone structure and the amount of muscle I have. This is something that most people have to have measured. A simple test is to take your thumb and middle finger, and wrap them around over the wrist bone of the opposite hand. If your thumb and middle finger meet, you are average. If they overlap, you have a small frame. If they do not meet, you have a large frame. There was almost an inch gap when I did this. My husband was tiny, so I have a daughter whose fingers overlap to the first joint. She is at her correct weight at a mere one hundred pounds. If you are average, your goals are good.

I'm 5ft 3inches

Starting weight was 138
Current weight is 133
Goal weight is 125 (hoping to feel great in my bathing suit in Mexico July)

I'm pretty muscular (I run and do circuit training) and my husband does not like skinny women, lol. He doesn't like it when I go below 125. He says I lose my curves.

I'm 150 my goal weight is 145, I just did the wrist test and I have a good 1/2 inch gap, so I guess I'm large frame, I always thought I was. I have a size 8 shoe and my ring size has always been big, my mom and sister, size 5 shoe and tiny little fingers. I weigh the same as my sister we are the same height and I'm at least one size smaller in some cases 2 sizes. I'm also very active and believe I have a good deal more muscle than she does, so keep all that in mind.

I’m 61, 5’3” and weigh 179.....want to get down to 150 and then will re-evaluate. I started jan 1 on keto but got side-tracked when we went away for 1 week vacation.....I didn’t prepare in advance so had trouble staying in keto while away.....and then when we got back hubby went in for surgery .....I know neither are good excuses for losing sight of my goal....just want to be upfront and open to be accountable.....time to get back at it!

I'm 5'3 and I am the heaviest I've ever been-248.8. My goal weight is 125. I just restarted my diet and wrote a very long journal entry about why that was necessary. I can do this!

I am 5-3. My goal weight is 125 pounds, with the additional goal of 2 to 3 weight-lifting sessions a week. I am tracking food, and joined a gym. I hired a trainer and have a fitbit tracker as well. I work out with the trainer once a week, and then try to do cardio 2 or 3 times a week with another weight-training day. Not there yet, but I think the 125 at 20% body fat is my ultimate goal.

My goal is to basically maintain my weight, however my exercise routine may be helping me lose more. I was exercising for 5 to 6 days/wk and decided to start every other day so I don't lose too much. I track my food and definitely need exercise. I'm still losing weight slowly because lately I've been consuming less calories than my diet allows, mainly because I can't afford a truly balanced diet and I don't even get hungry. I do but I'm rarely hungry. Losing extra pounds doesn't alarm me yet, but I'm monitoring it.
