Hello from Central Florida! Enjoyed the brisk walk this morning in the Florida blizzard...40-ish degrees! Hoping that tracking on fatsecret will help me lose the last 12 pounds to reach my goal. Your successes are awesome to read.

I must feel great to have achieved your target! Can't wait until I am there.

Wish I could help you with the belly fat question, but I'm not an expert. Maybe some of the more experienced members in the group could help with that.

On the belly fat question, I found this link which might be a place to start reading.

http://www.eatthis.com/types-of-body-fat/

So it tells you that the "belly fat" you are probably talking about is called subcutaneous fat and lies directly beneath the skin. It's the kind that is measured with skin calipers. You have it all over. For some reason (not sure what those reasons are), some people tend to store more in the belly, others in their butt and thighs, etc. I'm no expert, but, to my knowledge, there is no way that you can "target," thru diet or exercise, fat loss in a specific area of your body (belly, hips, butt, arms, thighs.....), but I might be wrong about that (and would love to learn more about it).
