Hello,

I am using a meal plan that has a complete set of recipes with ingredients AND nutritional information already laid out. Is it possible for me to add these recipes to fatsecret.com WITHOUT adding each, individual, ingredient?

For example:
Recipe/Meal - Bacon Avocado Muffins
Nutritional info - Calories, Fats, Net Carbs, Protein

I simply want to list the name of the meal and record the nutritional information without entering in each, individual ingredient. It takes way too much time to create a recipe/favorite meal when there are three meals a day for thirty days.

Thanks.

Well ... you can add a food item. When you are in your food diary, and you go to add an item, and start to type anything into the search area, a little blue text shows up at the bottom to add a food item. You enter all the nutritional info, and you can either add it to the database so everyone can see/use it (if it is a commercial item), or keep in private. (If it is commercially available, there is a chance its already in the database).

Thanks. Instead of painstakingly creating saved meals with each individual ingredient, what I ended up doing was creating a custom food (not shared) that is the name of the meal with the nutritional information for the serving size. Now I can enter my personal "food item" that has the nutritional serving size information.

Thanks so much for posting both the question and the answer! I have been trying to find a way to do that too.

Good question and helpful response. I also couldn't work out how to do that. Thank you.

Just realised much later that it takes a bit for it to sync between the IE page and the app. But it still syncs in the end. All good now. Thanks.
