Just started this last week, and lost 2 lbs on the new version (up to 800 cals on 2 days a week). I have just about reached my target and looking to create a "buffer" so that I don't have to watch every mouthful for days away/holidays etc.

There is also a 5 week Challenge, which I have joined, starting next Monday for those trialing the 5:2 - why don't you join too! šŸ˜€

Yes. Been on 5:2 since January. Lost 7kg so far. I find it quite easy to do. Best thing is not having to deny myself any particular foods - though it's becoming easier to make good food choices.

5:2 is The Fast Diet by Dr Michael Mosely.

Essentially, two days a week you fast - fast days (FDs). This means eating a maximum of 500 calories (for women, 600 for men).

The other 5 days (non-fast days [NFDs]) you eat whatever you want - but stay under your daily allowance. The average for women is 2,000. I set mine at 1,800.

If you exercise a bit you can add a few more calories to that or just lose more weight.

I find it really easy. I fast Monday and Tuesday. I eat cereal and milk in the morning then have veges and canned fish for dinner. I then break my fast with a nice lunch on Wednesday with my friend.
