Can anyone explain (or point me to the page that explains) to me the exercise summary? Right now, it reads: 1808 kcal / Net -1124 kcal. My diet summary for the day reads 684 kcal / RDI 38%. It seems I a missing the hidden message about the benefits of exercising and I certainly won't want to do that!

Anybody who can help....thanks in advance.

1808 calories is the number of calories you have burned through your activities; 684 is the calories you have eaten, if you have recorded everything you've eaten and all your activities. Depending on what you have your Recommended Daily Intake (or RDI) set at, it tells you the percentage of your RDI that you've eaten. Net is your consumption minus your activities.

Just to add a quick post-script .. the RDI is based on an FS estimate of the calories you burn in your activities based on what activity level you selected (active, very active, etc) .. whereas the deficit it shows you is based on the actual activities I enter. (Of course, the calories FS gives for an activity are also estimates, but, at least when I am using equipment at the gym that tells me calories burned, I can double check and adjust the duration to match.)

I use something similar to Fitbit to record all my daily activities. It also records my sleep. So at the end of the day, I just manually enter what my wristband tells me about calories burned. I hope this helps.
