I've been having some headaches lately and just wondering if it has anything to do with change of diet. I did some reading up and was quite surprised to know that this is one of the effects of carbs withdrawal..

Let me know what you think and how you coped, alleviated and/or eliminated these effects. I don't want to take any headache pills and have been drinking more water than usual.
Please Lord, help me through this journey.....

Hi Princess

I remember reading about the Atkins flu! Just done Google and found this article:
https://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/do-you-have-the-ketosis-flu/

I think headaches could be a ketone reaction. Possibly lasting 2 days.

Keep going, I'm sure it will work out OK!

Focus on how far you've come - as this is Reality!

Focusing on how far you have to go is only expectation!

Carb 'flu' or withdrawal symptoms can be what you describe but usually when you drop down to very low net carbs such as 20 - 25 gms a day and go into ketosis... However if you have lowered your carbs significantly, maybe this is the problem even if you haven't gone that low.
It will end, its the body cleansing, mainly the liver which is the cleanser of all toxins.
Drink lots of water, and eat lots of good carbs like dark green veggies etc.
If it is a plant, eat it, if it comes from a plant, don't!
