Smile I weigh every morning after bathroom but before I eat anything. I have my official weigh in day of Monday Mornings. I also get discouraged when the scale doesn't move.

Hi there! Well, here is one way to weigh yourself that I know can help if you are constantly discourage by the scale. Weigh yourself every day - Day 1 would be Monday. After 7 days take the average (add up the 7 days and divide by 7). That is your average weight for the week. THEN the next week weigh yourself 7 days and take the average. The difference between WEEK 1 average and WEEK 2 average is the weight you use. This sounds like a pain, but it averages out the little bumps that go along the way. Every day we can go up and down.

For example, if you weighed yourself on Monday and then on Sunday you were 2 lbs down. You ate something that made you retain water. Then you weigh yourself on Monday and you're the same. Well, you really didn't stay the same, it's only temporary but since you only weigh once a week you are going to get sad for the whole rest of the week!! I don't do this because the scale doesn't bug me too much anymore (been there done that) so I just take it for what it is and as long as I know I have been following my program, I know it will be coming off. Good LUCK!

I would encourage you to weigh-in only once a week. The scale can cause you to stress which can cause you to gain weight and/or not lose weight.

Trust in yourself and the fact that you are eating healthy and exercise to get you through the week until your weekly weigh-ins.

Also don't completely trust in the scale if you know that you know that you did 100% throughout the week and the scale shows a 0 loss or even a 1-2 gain because a scale does not show that while you are losing fat you are gaining muscle. Use a tape measure to track inches if you see unexpected results on the scale and/or use your clothes as a form of measurement as well. If a pair of jeans that normally fit tight are now a little lose you know you are on the right track!

God Bless you on your journey!

Don't get discouraged. As long as you did not gain that is a plus within itself. Just keep doing what you are doing as the body is getting acclimated to its new weight. Pretty soon it will be moving again. Moreover, check your measurements and how your clothes feel on you as while the scale may not move, you can be losing inches throughout your body.

So cheer up, it's going to be OK at the end of the day.

I am fascinated by the scales ! and look at them as a positive learning experience instead of something to be discouraged about.

When I weigh myself during the day, I note what I've eaten that has made me put on those lbs, then if they're gone the next a.m, no worries.

I have a problem with grains and if I eat them, I gain and the lbs can stay but if I eat tons of veggies and good foods and I gain in one day, it's gone the next morning. So I learn what hinders me and what gets used.

Don't look at them as the enemy rather use them as a tool to learn how your body reacts to what foods you consume.

and if you still are discouraged, then stop. Use your clothes as a guide to how you're doing.

I usually weigh in once a week, but jump on the scale most mornings after my shower before getting dressed. Just seems to remind me to be good. I've also recently upped my calorie count a bit heading more toward maintaining and fitness. Last thing I want is those pounds creeping back on

Enjoy the summer and the sunshine.

I weigh in once a week. I do however, weigh in midweek to make sure that I'm on track. There was a point when I went down tremendously and I'd weigh in daily, every morning before bath-time. If I didn't like what I saw, I'd make a conscious effort to be good on that day.

Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do, in order to achieve what you want. If daily weigh-ins work for you, then do them BUT rather have an official weigh-in day as well.

About once a day, in the morning. I like the idea of weekly though. I used to do that...should go back to it.

Let's say you were uncoordinated, would Insanity be hard to follow? I have the hardest times learning new routines, I end up sitting down and watching but still not getting it.
