When you're close to your goal weight, things go slower. Unlike when you have a ton of weight to lose, your body doesn't necessarily want to let go of those last few pounds. Conversely, you may need to eat MORE, shoot for SMALLER deficits to sneak those last few pounds of fat loss past your body.

Thanks, Jim. It's been invaluable to me as I got within 10-20 lbs. of my goal. Thanks to Keld for providing the original link.

There are calculators available, but I use a Biometric Impedance Analysis (BIA) scale. Others use calipers. Here is a link to an online calculator: http://www.calculator.net/ body-fat-calculator.html

You can use the 16 percent number as a start. You really don't need to worry about eating too little until your body fat gets lower. All the best!
