I am 27 years old and am start to look towards that big 30 and looking back on my 20s, they were not the best years they couldhave been. I spent much of the time self conscious about my appearance and restricted in what I could do. I don't want that to be by continuing story. So my long term goal is to be a healthy person, body, mind and soul for my 30th birthday. That gives me just under three years to loose 80 pounds and develop a healthy lifestyle. Looking for people to help motivate me.

I need motivation also. I am 47 and in three years will be 50 and going to Las Vegas to celebrate. I can remember always being overweight then dieting and losing 50 pounds, only to gain it right back again. This time I need to lose between 50 and 80 pounds to get down to my goal weight. I would love to have support and also give support right back.

Right there with you Kaytee. I am 29 turning 30 in 3 months - holy s**t balls Sad I have been dreading it for awhile, so much so I think I'm having a midlife crisis. I am not ready. My body is already packing in, noticed sore wrists and shoulders when on the floor with my girl. Decided to start the gym back in Nov. Goal is to be healthier, stronger (and preferably slimmer) in my 30s and to lose at least 5 kg by then. Lets do it!!

Right now I'm focusing on eating more fresh and homemade foods, and trying to hit the gym once a week, although I may start going more next week due to scheduling changes with my husband.

Could not have said it better myself! I've taken to looking at weight loss as a continual journey. Every good journey has ups and downs, setbacks and celebrations. Keep a positive outlook and don't let a minor setback be the start of a backslide.

You can totally do it! I'll be 22 in March but I already feel the same way you do. I'm in my last semester of college but I spent most of it as a recluse, in part because of my weight. I'm ready to get over that, and I think we can both reach our goals!
