Hi everyone! I am new to fat secret and love it already! I can use all the support and here to support as well. Quick question : how often do u guys weigh in? I think a daily weigh in would be inaccurate. Im glad to have found this app!

Hi and welcome! There are different schools of thought on that. I personally weigh in twice a day, once upon waking and again just before dinner. But I don't always write it down. But I do write it down at least every three days. Other folks like to weigh in once a week. Whatever works for you, but keep in mind that the daily stuff can drive you a bit crazy!

Welcome! I think this will depend on you. Personally, I weigh in every single day. I do a low-cal, low-fat diet and record my food/calories, exercise and weight every single day. This is what works for me. I have some people tell me that they can't do that, it causes them to have problems if they aren't losing fast enough. The important thing about your diet is choosing one that you are comfortable with. You may change as you go along to something different or try new methods. Just remember--stay happy and keep a positive attitude.

Welcome! I am also in the camp of daily weigh ins, however I look at my trend weight. I input my daily weight into a spreadsheet that smooths out the daily ups and downs to show my a smoother trend of how things actually look. Gives me a more realistic view of what my weight actually is, ignoring the daily small bumps up and down. (I also like math, data, and graphing.....)

They're generally too high here. Most of us use other online calorie calculators and then change our RDIs here. Draglist's website diettruth.org has some links.
