You will lose slower. Also watch the carbs and fruit in take. I am doing the ketone diet and have lost so much weight but I also do the intermittent fasting and bulletproof coffee story. In October I lost just on 3 kgs and I am now in my 7 month of change of Lifestyle. Do try and stay in ketones.

Biggest problem here is if you are eating "just" enough carbs to keep you out of ketosis you are probably going to feel like garbage. Lethargic. Mental fogginess. Irritable. Your body's preferred source of fuel is glucose. If you are not getting enough glucose from carbohydrate, your body produces glucose via gluconeogensis from protein, amino acids, amino acid pools, or muscle. The body can also produce energy via ketones. When your body shifts to ketosis, it actually does a nice job of using stored fat for fuel and the body adapts to that, sometimes in 3 days sometimes longer. After the initial switch you may actually feel better than you did with carbs. However, if you are eating 50 carbs per day and not getting into ketosis, but at a calorie deficit you will still lose weight, you may just feel like crap doing it.

Basics are: Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and flush toxins out. Sleep is VERY important to our body's metabolism and cell health. Log ALL of your food in every day. Even a stick of gum!
I know you say you have only lost 1.5 lbs, but have you done your measurements? Sometimes we don't see progress on the scale, but in our clothes and how they fit. My suggestion is to take your measurements. I did: neck, back, chest, waist, hips, right and left upper arms and thighs.

Tewey, I have learned a lot about the new products that are carb friendly and how to be creative with recipes. Monotony can be discouraging so don't get caught in that trap.
Have things in the frig that are ready to eat...like hardboiled eggs or egg, tuna or chicken salad. They are great when you get in a pinch for time or an idea for the next meal. I also have almonds around. I count 28 out and put them in a mini ziploc snack bag. I try to keep one in my purse for when I'm out on the road and just need something to 'get me by'.

Thank you for taking the time to respond,you can never hear all the tips and advice enough,it helps.I need to stick to weighing in once a week and I have lost inches,but this is normal for me.I have been very honest with all my entries(wine too,only a glass or two)I know this isn't allowed perhaps why I am seeing a stall and my bathroom habits have beenstalled,I bought some flaxseed to start incorporating into my diet,so hopefully this will put me back on track and more vegetables.

you can purchase test strips to see what level your keytones are at. They are pretty cheap.

I purchased ketone strips at Target. 50 for $13.49. I use them every few days just to make sure I'm doing ok. Even when I have been in a stall, I'm still in a very high level of ketosis. I have found that when I don't drink my usual amount of water, that is when I gain weight. It is a science…between your body and water. Your body is made up of over 80% water. When we don't take enough in, our body starts retaining it. Our bodies are amazing 'machines' and very interesting.
