Hello folks out there. I am doing great with exercises and a healthy diet and have been progressing well on my path to my goal weight.

Its an established fact that as you approach your normal range of weight the speed with which weight loss happens decreases.
I was experiencing the same thing after losing around 20 kgs in 4 months , i could see weight loss happening a bit slow in the past 2 weeks however just by chance i happened to take a cup of green tea 3 days back and have been continuing since and i am seeing a daily weight loss of 300 gms as compared to 10 days back where it used to remain constant , increase for a few days before losing .

So i wanted to ask from you folks about the real benefits of green tea rather than the usual stuff which we find on websites , 3 days is bit too small a period to describe a pattern but i am forced to think this way as other things like my exercise schedule and diet being the same only green tea has been added by me .

Sorry for posting this long but happily curious thatswhy bothering you.

Thanks and happy exercising Smile

To be honest, a week or so ago I started to drink more green tea and I noticed that my weight loss was jump started with me losing almost 4 lbs. Seriously! I kept up with my protein meals and started to do some interval training on the weight machines, but other than the green tea this is the only other thing that I too have added to my meal plan. Interesting. How much extra weight did you lose? And, yes, I noticed before I started to take the green tea my weight was SLOWLY coming off. Sometimes it stayed the same on the scale for days which was very frustrating to say the least. Just my thoughts on your post! Smile

as i said its been 3 days only but i am surprised to see a daily loss of 300 gms which wasnt the case earlier ... as earlier it used to take 2-3 days at a particular figure then would lose .. will have to check a whole week then only a firm conclusion can be drawn .. but this has inspired me to take otherwise tasteless and sort of bitter green tea with no qualms Razz

I have only started taking green tea and take it in the evening .. dont know if my hypothesis is right or wrong but i am seeing a change for sure .. lets see how the remaining week goes and if the trend continue then we will get the clear picture Smile

2 to 3 cups of green tea a day should suffice.

It has been proven that green tea can help the body burn calories and fats, and this is the reason why it is used as an ingredient in popular diet pills. When sugar and fat enter your body, they will be synthesized into an essential substance called triglyceride. The excess triglyceride will be transformed into fat, and this can result in obesity.Green tea http://www.originalwuyi.com/greentearesearch.aspx can counter the threat of excess triglyceride because it has a high amount of polyphenols.

Be cautious in drinking large amounts of green tea. It was a couple of years ago that the news reported the story of the Indian who drowned in his own teepee.
