Why This Diet?

I have been fasting during Lent and in the fall for the last three years. I love this diet. It is very healthy and easy to follow. You can eat anything that is plant based nuts, fruits, or vegetables. I love vegetables so it works for me. It is very easy to stick to. I do allow one day a week to add meat to my fast. Usually fish on Fridays. I believe in this diet. It has worked for me and I love trying the different recipes. I have lost 25 pounds in the 40 day fast. So it is very rewarding too. Always check with your doctor before starting a new diet. Good luck.

Good for you if you love vegetables! For me, it is so difficult to stick to a diet when it means to eat mostly vegetables! Fruits and nut, it's ok for me but i hate particulary salads and lettuce (may be because i ate them just when I'm on a diet!). Well, I hope I will stay in the good way instead of that!

I thought that way too, but now I have learned how to cook and eat differently with a huge variety of delicious foods that will totally satisfy my appetite. I have researched and explored many new ways to include protein into my diet. It is far from eating just salad. This is a good short term diet or a good lifestyle diet if you choose to eat healthy. Yes, it isn't for everyone, but it is fun to try all the new recipes (which I love trying new dishes), so please don't totally rule it out without trying it. You mentioned you hate vegetables, well then it probably won't work for you. I use this diet as a fast to improve my health. It works for me.

do you have a specific event that you are aiming to be at your goal weight by? it is just that 18kg over 2 months is a bit high loss rate - guidance is 1-2 lb a week and you're thinking of something ...
