WOW surprized that it's not longer than 3 pages. I live in Independence Missouri near Truman's Library. When I first moved to MO in 1978 I kept looking for fresh broccoli NONE that I could find people only thought it came frozen and spinach was only in cans. Much has changed over the years. I've lived in 14 states several of them more than once before 1978.

YUp Kansas City food supplies have changed alot since then--moved here from Boston area via a few months stop in NY. Still have trouble finding whole foods but there are more and more ethnic grocery stores appearing in my area that carry grains and various beans and there is Whole Foods but it's 30+ miles. City market in the summer is awesome!!Lots of fresh veggies, plants in the spring, and herbs/spices. There are several other natural food stores that carry more than just vitamins and a chain store called HY-Vee that carries some things--buy flax seeds for my whole grain bread there. Still can't stand canned spinach
