Technical help needed

I started fatsecret on Saturday and found out about inputting my own recipes today. Now that the recipe is in I want to update Saturday's food entry but can't do it directly from the recipe itself as it only allows today, yesterday, and tomorrow. I'm having trouble seeing how to 'upload' it into the food diary itself which does allow me to amend it even now, but boots me back into the food lists. How can I bring up a recipe to add in food entry mode?

If I understand you correctly you want to add a saved meal to a day not listed in the dropdown menu?
You can choose 'other' at the bottom of the date list and then pick the day in the calendar. Then you choose 'add item' at the meal you want to edit and then click 'saved meals' to the left of the food box and pick the saved meal.

Try this:

Enter Food

Add new item

Search for something (anything, more unlikely to get a response the better)

Then at the bottom left of the search box should be "Add new food"

I wanted it to specifically bring up (or otherwise allow me to add in) a recipe I've had for years and input into their recipe section.

If you want to submit a full recipe, use the Submit a Recipe button and enter in all of the details the page asks for. If you want it to be public, you will have to wait for your recipe to be approved. If you want it to be for yourself, you can choose to not share and the recipe will always say (Pending) in your cookbook. If you choose that option, you will only be able to use it if you go to My Cookbook to the right of your food diary and make the selection there. It won't show up in the panel on the left of your food diary.

If this is something that you will pretty much eat the same size portion of every time and you want to keep track of just that portion of the meal, it's better to just enter the amount of the recipe that you ate in your food diary then use the Save Meal option on the right of your food diary. Then, the next time you have that meal, you can click the "Saved Meals" option on the left of your food diary and it will show up there.

Correct. I can put it in on Saturday, but having to wait almost a week between when I put the recipe in and when I can actually input it to my food diary is kind of rude. I might not remember. Razz
