I'm down by 24 lbs since December. My RDI is down to 1600. Ugh! I love gym days because then I can eat more. Gym is two hour-long sessions a week of Z-Health workouts. Effective for feeling better and helping move the fat off but a real ass kicker.

nearly 50 is nothing these days , go for it.

I would recommend long power walks on some of you non gym days, easy on the joints and very effective for weight loss and general health

im 49 next week and about the same size I was at 19 with a bit more muscle. Im not ready for the pipe and slippers and gut !

I'm 51. Thanks for the advice. My Z-Health coach is pointing me toward water aerobics, but we'll see. At least walking I can be fully dressed! How long did it take you to get from where you were to where you're at? I'm presuming there's a reason you're on this.

for me it was all about accepting and committing to a Lifestyle change and above all else being consistent

I still enjoy many 'forbidden' foods but in moderation but overall my eating is very healthy mixed diet and I exercise regularly and effectively but not excessively

I bet that was interesting.. Rice and beans are a staple for me as well now, LOL . My choice though. I've learned a lot of new things in my 60's! This journey into getting healthy has been huge!

I started at about your weight 192. I'm female 65, have a smell frame and work at a desk all day but try to be fairly active when I'm not at work. I had to trim my calories down to averaging 1200 ...

Right, I wouldn't pay anyone. Find a plan that works and stick to it. There are lots of books at the library. Track your food on FS.
