Body Media doesn't have an API we can use to get access to the data. There were however just bought by Jawbone and Jawbone does have an API so perhaps eventually we can build a sync service for that too.

I am waiting for my fitbit flex and would love to keep using FS but will switch if there is no intention to integrate. @admins - this is a pretty clear enhancement request from you community, it would be nice to get an update of what your plans are. Thank you Smile

What do you want to sync? Checkout http://www.syncmetrics.com , we just finished our first sync service for FS with FItbit, Withings and iHealth for weight data. What else would you like to see?

So do we log food here and it goes to fitbit? Do we log activites here or on fitbit? Not sure how to use it but willing to give it a try so I signed up but there are no clear instructions like there is with Myfitnesspal.

Goal184, let us know what the bugs are you identified so we can get them fixed for the other users that do want to continue using the service.

Well like I stated in my first post, no real instructions on where to enter. With Myfitnesspal you track everything on MFP and it sends data to fitbit and fitbit sends step and calories back to MFP and adjusts your calories for the day. FS and your site are not doing that from everything I tried.

Goal184, thanks for the feedback. We are working on some additional documentation but as with everything it's time consuming and we provide these services for free for thousands of users today!

Just to be clear, we are only syncing your weight data from Fitbit, Withings or Ihealth to FatSecret we don't provide any other sync services for FatSecret.

Thanks for the suggestion...

FatSecret also has an open API which allows other services/apps etc to access all your FatSecret data (with your permission of course) so we suggest that you reach out to them to see if they want to build on top of your profile.

Best,
The FatSecret team

Kinda funny...I just opened a ticket with them on this very topic. Fitbit had almost word-for-word the same reply. I guess both companies think the other should build the integration. Consumers will ultimately drive one of them to fold...unfortunately, it will probably come too late.

I want to add my voice to the request that Fatsecret add fitbit. As others have described, I am not really using fatsecret anymore in spite of the fact that it is much better than loseit or any other site I've seen. Please add a link to fitbit!

Please add fitbit sync. You have the best calorie and diet tracker of all, but need fitness and exercise sync with fitbit and map my fitness, etc.

Anyone else notice that the calorie total for your day is wrong?
Are you added net carbs or total carbs? Because fibre has no calories, so total carbs including fibre will give a false higher reading.
