I weigh myself every day when I wake up. I have a chart on the inside of the bathroom cabinet door to monitor my daily weight.

First thing every morning. I know some people say to weigh in once a week but I use it as a daily reminder to stay on plan.

1 or 2 times daily. First thing in the morning and before bed. Helps me track where I am and how much I've eaten and drank in a day. It helps that my scale shows the ounces as well so I will see the little changes.

Once a week... I used to do it twice a week, but it made me too anxious. besides, weight can vary according to many different factors, so now I calculate my body fat percentage and rely on that to keep track of my progress.

My success is achieved by reaching failure. When I fail to do one more rep, that's when I know I've succeeded.

your weight can fluctuate as much as 2-3 pounds per day. if u check it that often you'll drive yourself crazy. due to exercise (or lack of), bowel problems, and what, how and when u ate can cause losses or gains. step away from the scales and just enjoy the fact that u are trying. good luck today

At least 2 times a day. I'm obsessed with numbers, but am also aware that my weight can vary 2-3 lbs within a single day. The best time for me is right after I work out and shower, because I have found this is my absolute lowest weight I can obtain for the day. This allows me to stay motivated and continue with the plan. Weighing myself constantly reminds me what I am doing and what for.

Every morning, that way you can monitor your progress - and see where you had a little too much to eat - I have been on this eating plan for 101 days and have lost 22.6kg's (49.82pounds)

Keep gaining back same 10 lbs so I've decided to change my ways and start weighing everyday again till I get to my target weight for the 10th time since I lost initial 60 lbs. in 2010. I've tried not to get preoccupied about weighing in or the scale but like some of you, if it keeps me honest about how much I'm eating/overeating then I'll do it. I didn't lose the weight by following the general advice out there but by adapting a plan that worked for me as an individual. Same with this. So, I'm weighing everyday now. It's very helpful in seeing how what and when I eat shows on the scale. Maintenance can be hard but I'm glad to say I've not gained over 10 lbs at a time before I get wiser and lose it. It would be nice to say I can maintain well but haven't mastered that yet. Maybe never will. The constant onslaught around us of food food food is relentlessly tempting. At some point, you just have to learn to ignore it.

Have you noticed this post has 100 pages and 1800 entries ? Most have one page and a few entries. Ever wonder why?

It's an easy question to answer, I guess? I know I've answered it more than once as my circumstances have changed. I now believe weighing in is important for me. If I get obsessed, so be it until I learn anew how to not put so much back on before I stop the overeating. Confused

I weigh myself every morning. That is the easiest way that I have found to track how different foods affect my weight. I can also track my bloaty-ness better that way.

The most important thing is to make sure that you do not get obsessed about what you see on the scale. You never want to be that person who goes crazy if you see a small gain from one day to the next. It could easily be water retention. It would be very hard to gain an entire pound in one day. You would have to eat 3,500 EXTRA calories. So, don't stress. Keep doing the right stuff, and you will get there. Smile
