The first time the weight just melted off. The second time it took a lot longer to see results, but eventually I did see results.

Maybe there are some hidden carbs or sugar in your food that you are not aware of? That can slow down weight loss.

I average 300 calories per day in exercise with 700 calories from exercise on Sundays. I only have 10 pounds to lose so the weight loss is very slow for me. When my husband does atkins, he loses 3-4 pounds a week (but he has 80lbs to lose). Don't get discouraged. I am taking the advice of weighing in daily but only counting weight loss weekly by averaging out the loss over the week. That way it allows for fluctuations in water weight etc. Best of luck to you Surprised)

The two days you have posted your foods Old country, you hit close to 60 carbs a day, this is not 'doing Atkins' . I would suggest you read the book completely if you haven't already and do induction properly. Also leave out the Atkins bars. They cause many people to stall. Try the first two weeks completely as the book lays out and i'll bet you'll see a difference.

then I see stalls as well. I would suggest re-reading the induction part of the book & even highlighting key parts to see what might be going on. I go back regularly & view it because I tend to forget what the books says after trying to do the plan my way sometimes Surprised)

The fact is that not everyone uses the same calories for different types of exercise. Some people think they are running hard when they are actually barely working. How long breaks between sets did the experimental subjects take? Who knows? The numbers can be very inaccurate.

If you get outrageously hungry, have a healthy snack. But don't count on adding back calories burned and then losing weight in any predictable way.

That is because of the Atkins bars and shakes. Fat Secret figures the total carbs. The carbs listed on the bars or shakes are only 2 or three.

you can actually get net carb values. Just select for it in the settings of your food diary. And your net carbs were under 20, so you were ok there.

oops , missed that about the carbs , sorry. I can't eat the bars without going into a 'stall'. So if i really really want that sweet, i just accept the fact that it takes about 4 days before i see a drop again.

you might want to hold off on the Atkins bars & shakes until you get to phase 2 & then only 1 a day. if you want something sweet, try a piece of sugar-free gum. my favorite is Extra Watermelon. not too much gum, though. I found out that too much can cause a stall.

have you signed up for the Atkins site? they have lots of information there. when I signed up a couple of years ago, they sent me 3 Atkins bars & a couple great booklets.

I decided that Atkins wasn't the diet for me. I'm trying a more balanced approach. I did accomplish one thing while trying Atkins, I found out I could really go without bread. It will be nice to have a piece of toast now and then.

The nutritional Calorie is 1000 standard calories. A kcal is a kilocalorie which is 1000 calories. So a nutritional Calorie is the same as a kcal.

This is tough......I,m spending 90% of my time trying to stay on meal plan and the other 10% going off it.....Resulting in an increase in weight..
