I kind of worry about faddish diets...as a life long slimmer, gaining and losing since I was 19, I think I have finally found MY answer... to eat healthily, but stop seeing food as the enemy, and don't think of 'the diet',but more enjoyable healthy eating plus exercise that you enjoy...you may have to try out a lot of different exercise, but that is part of the fun, for me anyway. I find this decreases the boredom,decreases the annoying cravings and adds to positive thinking...I am not advocating some miracle,unknown cure, just for me, after 20 years, healthy eating PLUS upping the exercise and movement of our bodies PLUS patience = slimmer, firmer body and more contented mind.
PS I have a long journey ahead of me but I see it as a wee bit of an adventure into the previous unknown...a healthy,more mobile,confident me Smile Good luck to ALL btw.

When I peek at some people's food diaries, I see them working out but still complaining they are gaining. If that's the case, look at the food--you can always cut somewhere. The trick is switching up higher calorie carbs for lower calorie ones (more veggies instead of pasta). Protein and fats are more filling and get more omega 3 fats instead of polyunsaturated or omega 6 (which packed foods are loaded with) your body will perform better from a metabolic standpoint.

But movement of any kind is a start, while I prefer weights because they improve your muscles and more muscle means a higher metabolism, pick something you enjoy because then you'll stick to it.
