Whatever you want as long as you stay within your calorie goals.
Consume whatever foods you prefer, whenever you prefer to consume them, while ensuring nutrient sufficiency and meeting caloric goals.

Listen to Diablo. Eat when you're hungry. Don't make it hard on yourself. Stay within your RDI, and it's all good.

over time you will learn what to eat to satisfy and what you like and how it all works together. Starting out just educate yourself on how many calories is in what your eating- that alone is a game changer!

Hi I've not long started a diet also and this fat secret has really helped me because on other diets I would practically starve myself but now as I've been given a R D A I just stay under that by eating healty and if I fancy a something I will have it as long as I don't go over my calories. If ur hungry EAT just not loads of it. good luck with ur weight loss

Down from 60" waist jeans since June 21st 2012.

Still keeping to my 26" jeans, but they are too tight for comfort. too many tasty things in the US, and over Xmas.

Is there any calculator for counting calories in food I have eaten today ? I had one plate fried rice with a hundred gram piece of roasted chicken, so I want to calculte amount of calories I got !

440 calories??? that seriously can't be what you ate all day. I eat more than that for breakfast. You still have to fuel your body to do it's basic functions. I hope today you make better food choices. A HUGE salad can be put together for about 100 calories and that could at least fill you up (up to you what you put on it). No need to go hungry....you won't be able to keep it up for long and will more likely binge on something not so healthy.

Well don't feel discouraged about feeling hungry. Eat more often throughout the day- I would suggest 5 little meals, and 2 snacks including protein and veggies. Eating more protein will quiet your hunger. Try herbal tea.I am on a very low calorie diet right now,and doing it for a challenge.Right now my caloric intake is 445 calories per day and my nutritional requirements are provided. I won't tell you not to do a low calorie diet,just remember it is not sustainable for very long periods. The nutritional needs of the individual should be addressed. Preplan your strategy and how you will eat after going off this diet. Hang in there and good luck.

440 calories...oh no! At leasy 1200 calories a day or you will stall your metabolism. Yes you will lose initially but then you will find it harder to lose weight in the long run. A body needs fuel and you should include foods from all of the groups to ensure you are getting a balanced amount of fat, minerals and vitamins, proteins and carbs.

Feel stressed, possibly long term ill......you may think you should have taken a more sensible route

The body is constantly trying to balance itself, hence even a relatively low caloric reduction is a stressor to it, which is why you should do a calorie maintenance week every so often to give it a chance to recover

There is NO NEED for extreme measures in weight loss just
CONSISTENCY over a long period of time by which I mean your LIFE

People who do these extreme measures never maintain a decent weight and health

Yeah, remember that you're trying to make a lifestyle change, not some quit fix diet that you'll stop and gain all the weight back 500 calories a day is not sustainable. However, doing something like 1200 calories a day is a lifestyle change, not just a diet. Losing 1 - 2 lbs a week is healthy, and any more you're not really losing fat! You're losing weight that you need! Just like everyone else said, eat when you're hungry and just don't overdo it!

Good luck with your diet. I see you are going to Weight Watchers meetings. Are you doing using the Point System or one of the new systems? I have seen some of the Pamphlets and Printouts from their meetings. They should have provided you with a list of foods to eat when you are hungry..Celery,cucumbers,green peppers, etc.

Why you don't lose weight?
what really works s maintain a caloric deficit until you reach a weight your happy with an then maintain it forever personally I'm around 10% body fat with a model physique :)
