Even better, find a photo that you want to look like in a magazine. Copy your photo and paste the head onto the body in that photo so your head is on that body. .

Possibly the sickest advice any moron has offered a 16 year old let alone one who currently weighs 92kg

The apocalypse must be coming... I agree with spacey on something, without reservations.

42" jeans(25/01/2013) 40"(28/02/2013) 38"(20/03/2013) 36"(25/05/2013)
Down from 60" waist jeans since June 21st 2012.

Still keeping to my 26" jeans, but they are too tight for comfort. too many tasty things in the US, and over Xmas.

It was and is again, I added something to it then changed my mind and over-edited myself.

I often agree with the points you make spacey, I usually have reservations about the way they have been put across...

Thanks everyone. It's not like I hate myself or anything. But I just know that the way I see myself in the mirror isn't good. I'm 18 and ready to take the lead in my life. Just want to be healthy is all. Instead of being sad when trying to go shopping. For once in my life I wish I could enjoy shopping. I've lost 10 lbs so far and I'm working my way to my goals. But thank you all for your support.

Hello Bgirl... very very proud of you for realizing it's time to make changes that will help you as you go through life. My first round with weight loss began when I was 19. Kept it off for many years, but health issues threw me a curve ball and I once again gained and am now losing with the help of several good doctors.

Take care now. 10lbs is 10lbs. Doesn't seem like much, but pick up something that weighs 10lbs to get a general idea of how much it is then carry it around with you for a while.

Good luck.

Thank you very much. My mother lost about 60 lbs on weight watchers and at her meetings they had said that one pound is 4 sticks of butter! So that really puts into perspective for me. You're right and I appreciate your encouragement Smile

Good luck with your weight loss sorry you had to read so much nonsense,

Slow and steady wins the race, think health first and weight loss Will follow, no fad diets just a good balanced diet and exercise.

Counting calories is a bit boring but it does work Smile

BTW just over a year ago I was a few pounds heavier than you at 210-215lbs, by managing my calories and exercising I got down to my goal weight in 6 months losing 42lbs in the process and have kept if off for a further 6 months and I am nearly 49!

Use the app it does work

Bgirl... do you have a Wii console (or XBox or Playstation Move)? I recommend you play games like Just Dance, Zumba, Golds Gym Dance Workout, etc. They are so much fun, it's cardio exercise and you sweat a lot! I buy used games at Game Stop or on Ebay to try out. That could help you get some cardio exercise in and jump start your weight loss. Very Happy

I don't know what to do
I know you've gotten a lot of advice, Buttercup, but the first step I'd recommend is to track your food. Don't change anything for a few days, just track. Then when you look back and what ...

food diary acting up?!!
What a relief to find that this has happened to others. It's an annoyance to have to change the calendar every day or to find that entries have disappeared.

This is a good starting point, but you really need an exercise plan to maximize the results. Even if it is just walking. Get moving!
