Is anyone doing the Paleo Diet & are you having any luck with it?

I'm not doing Paleo, but I am doing Keto, and having tremendous success! You can go check out my numbers on my profile. The main difference between the two is the addition of fruit,and the subtractionof dairy on paleo.. for me Keto is easy to follow and it works. If you have any questions just ask. Smile

Suummervijx,not sure if Iam missing something, but looking at your diet calender it seems like you are doing a Atkins. Is there a difference? Please explain. I am still looking for something thT I can do for life. Cutting out certain food groups do not seem vIBle in the long run. Maybe I am just not commited enough to do it for life. Will you be doing it forever?

Yes, keto is very similar to Atkins, in fact it's the induction stage of Atkins. Now I haven't gone through all the details of the Atkins diet. Basically, I have planned to gradually add back carbs up to a certain point once I have reached my goal weight for maintenance. And yes I plan on doing keto for the rest of my life. Now, will there be opportunities for pizza, and sweets, and my true weakness...Chinese food? Absolutely, it's just right now I'm staying focused and on target for the current goal at hand.

to me, there is a huge difference...i was on Atkins for 3 years then switched to Paleo at the beginning of this year. though the food lists are similar, Paleo focuses on whole natural foods. my only issue with Atkins is they promote chemicals & artificially processed foods. but getting in ketosis is the goal with both.
however, the most important thing is that it's a diet you can stick with.

I'll Agree with this. I do have some processed foods from time to time, but I tend to lean more towards whole products, and "process" them myself.
