The fact that I get lots of Buddy requests is also testament to my approach to getting in shape and being supportive of people

personally I don't do the whole buddy thing as I prefer to discuss on in the thread

they say the best satisfaction is living a good life ..I have the results I wanted to get ........have you?

Lucky you for finding what works for you, This is not a one size fits all world and people are all different.

You expect us to read your "scientific and rational thread" as if we are irrational. Personally, I have a hard enough time reading anything you write here, no less waste a moment of my life reading any of "your approach" elsewhere.

People are looking for helpful advice from others following similar journeys (in this case, Atkins), and not to be criticized. I have been witness to your bashing people in this and other threads. You are a self-proclaimed rational thinker with "many followers" elsewhere, but yet you stereo-type all low-carbers as "cranky". Where is the science or logic behind that statement? Even if you did have any "rational" advice to share, you have lost your credibility by being offensive.

I just wanted to speak on behalf of my fellow low-carbers and buddies here, who you claim are cranky and irrational. This will be the last I waste any of my time on you. Hopefully others will follow me in THIS rational decision.

I will bet good money that I have encouraged more people and offered them good practical advice based on long term weight loss that is maintainable than either of you 2 jokers put together.

Practically every totally irrational answer I have had on this forum from the bizarre to the downright made up has come from some one doing Atkins or low carb.

So based on my experience cranky kind of sums it up

Do whatever is easier for you. Eliminate certain foods if you cannot control your portions, but please do not believe there is any advantage metabolically speaking. Believing that there is, is akin to believing any other debunked myth.
Consume whatever foods you prefer, whenever you prefer to consume them, while ensuring nutrient sufficiency and meeting caloric goals.

Thanks, so far so good. Got a new physically demanding job milking mooz :) down five kg already, just waiting for the plateau and will remind myself to just keep on track.
