Possible to input "custom" information?

When I was on WW, I could input whatever information I had even if the food/recipe/product was not in their website. For example, I often jog at various speeds. I could just say "Jogged 4 miles, X pts" -- I can't find a way to do this on Fatsecret -- I have to pick from their list (so I'd have to input 4 mph for 10 minutes, 5 mph for 15 minutes, etc.). Same for food - no way to do a "quick add", such as "quesadilla....___ calories".

Or is there a way to do this that I'm missing?

For your custom exercises, just click to add and scroll to the bottom of the pre-loaded exercises and select "Other". Then you can enter your custom exercise, calories burned, and time. I usually use a HRM so I always do a custom entry.

For food, select to "add custom food" and make sure to choose the option at the bottom to not share so it won't clutter up the database.

OK, based on mwessinger's advice, I figured out how to add a custom exercise, but I still can't find anyplace where it says "add custom food". Anyone?

On the screen where you enter your food for the day, on the right side are a bunch of options. On my screen, at the top a block of options under "My FatSecret". Next is an advertisement block, followed by "My Favorite Meals", "My Custom Foods", "My Journal", and "My Exercise Diary".

In the "My Custom Foods" section select the link "add custom food". This will open a new page where you can create "My own custom food entry".

nothing has changed. Do as mwessinger says: go to enter food> look to the far right....scroll down....My custom foods> add custom food.
Consider each event with the question: Will it matter next summer?

Keep in mind this is just a snapshot of someone's life. Just because their profile says they started at a particular weight, does not necessarily mean that is the heaviest they have ever been....it's just a moment when they started FatSecret. Assumptions get the better of you.

There is no place on my screen where it says "enter custom food". I even searched for the word "custom".

They gave me a link to get to it, and that works, but I still can't figure out how to get there from within the webpage. I've written back to ask. In the meantime, here's the link:

So. I did some playing around, and I have the answer! Smile You are right. you can't find the link on your page because you have not yet added any custom foods of your own. Once you have added one, then it will show up on your food entry page from then on. But if you have not yet added a custom food, it's not an option unless you try to enter a food and then don't find it in the database, and tell it you want to enter a food. It then takes you to the the page they sent you the link to.
It's a tad clunky the first time, but should get better once you have entered your first "custom" food. Good luck!

Go to your food diary. Click enter food. Where you can type enter: "random" and do a search. It will come up with nothing (no matches) for "random". It will then ask if you would like to add a custom item to the database. Say yes, and go from there.

Thanks - it took quite a bit of work, but I finally got it to work/found it. It's crazy that it's so difficult. I appreciate your help.
