You'll definitely find it online...but if any of the books you did get speak about 5:2 (meaning 2 days fasting and 5 normal healthy eating)you'll get some of the info in them. Smile AWW don't feel bad, I'm usually only stuck behind the computer for one day out of the week. Smile I do give myself a lunch break, today was a late lunch...on my fasting days I usually have a late lunch and then maybe a hand full of nuts around dinner time. You'll have to let me know if any of the books you got are good reads. Smile

From October 4th 2010 to April 3rd 2012 I lost half my body weight - 80 kilos/170 lbs. Since then, I have had two cosmetic surgeries to remove excess skin. I have now quadrupled my strength, gained several kilos in muscle mass, and today I focus on building muscle, optimizing my diet, and living healthy. I am stronger, healthier, thinner, happier!

See it this way: Once you find what works, just keep doing that. Over and over and over, until you reach your goal. If you stall for more than a few weeks, do research. There is always help in these forums.

If you can simplify things, then it's easier on you. Just do what works. Nothing else. Smile

I had hip surgery in Aug of 2011. It went bad because I got an infection, which I found out a long time later is common for obese people. I have been on a diet since Nov. last yr. - 2012. I started out weighing 345. I am now at 281 and stalled. I still have a cement spacer in my right hip so I don't get around easily. I can't have surgery until I get to 220. I have had a ton of surgeries in the past and I don't want to do it again until I am at a safe weight. I keep a journal every day listing what I eat and the calories. I eat no carbs, sugar, bread, etc. There are days I would give my eye teeth for a slice of pizza. I try to keep under 1000 calories a day and it's been ok. I can handle that and less most of the time. But without being able to exercise I am having a hard time. I use arm weights and wiggle while I am sitting to help burn off some calories. It's just so hard.

Has your doctor put you on such a low calorie diet? 1000 calories and less seems awfully low, even for a sedentary person. Have you tried shadow boxing using oinly your upper body? Or is swimming an option to keep pressure off your hips while still moving your whole body?
